  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

    Best regards,

    StanleyOG.

I'm right with you there with these triple digit temps. I live in the Phoenix area....it's been brutal and we're still in the 100's, but here we go by 10 degree increments as to the severity Low 100's is doable....but mostly only doing early morning breakfast rides and be home by 10 or so. When we're in the One-teens my bike won't be leaving the garage except for something extremely important. I've had heat exhaustion twice and it ain't fun!! A lot of others in my riding group will chime in with the "get a cooling vest....just stay hydrated...blah blah b.s." NOPE.... I ride to enjoy myself and fighting heat stroke is not something I find enjoyable.....same as rain riding. You get caught when you're out that's one thing, but if I open the garage door and it's raining....never mind, I'm not going! LOL! If that means I'm not a "real" biker, so be it. I've ridden 1500 miles in a day a time or 2....when I was a lot younger.... because I NEEDED to get somewhere as soon as possible. I never enjoyed it and I'll never do it so I can get some stupid "Iron Butt" plaque. I don't do anything I don't absolutely enjoy doing and could care less about who is or isn't impressed with my badassery.

Common sense, good for you. Don't know what it is, but there is a large amount of common sense that to many people just can't seem to find. Sad really, but stupid is as stupid does. Spent a little time, long ago out by Apache Junction, running with desert rats, was glade to get back home. Home was Chicago back then.

I live about 15-20 min from Apache Junction. This side of the east valley was basically the edge of civilization when I moved here in 2015. It was nothing but horses and farms..... but it's quickly becoming a concrete jungle. I guess you can't stop progress, and the good news is that my property value has skyrocketed..... but I fkn HATE it.

My best ride was also my worst. In 2012, I rode down to AZ for bike week. A buddy who had 'worked at Key West Harley' helped me put a set of 16-inch apes on my 2010 unlimited. He fucked up everything he touched and I had to trailer the bike to the dealer to fix the mess. So I take off for AZ, through Farmington and the Indian Nation and have one hell of great ride for two weeks. On the way back, I stop in Gallup and I got NO BRAKES. The idiot had put the new brake lines on so tight he cracked the ABS fittings my brakes bled out over the two weeks I'd been riding. Tried adding fluid, leaked right out. So I'm a hundred miles from Farmington and there's no reason to stop, hell I've pushed a busted scooter farther than that with two gears left in my tranny. Get to Farmington and the Harley Dealer was closed... Black Monday. Shit. 400 miles to go over four 10,000 foot passes. What is a fuckin' scooter tramp to do?
Road nine hours home over the passes, just me and tranny got home just fine. You never know what you can do until you do it.;)

Took the three day class to get the motorcycle endorsement. Only time I ever rode one. Can't really say rode one, never went on the street. Nice little bike, from what remember.
