A coworker who was away for a few days came back yesterday and practically threw herself into my arms to hug me lol. And then apologized because she’s knows I’m not a “hugger.”

I wouldn’t say I’m not a hugger. I of course love hugging the people I love. I’m also fun to hug. I have lots of squishy places

And of course naked hugs……

But I don’t enjoy hugging acquaintances or random people. I guess my thinking is, everything I do is sincere. And hugging random people isn’t sincere when I’m just counting the seconds for it to end lol.

So…are a “hugger?” Do you enjoy squeezing everyone? Or just those you love?

Hugs with loved ones are fine and welcomed. I prefer a little personal space when it comes to others. Hugging acquaintances doesn't make me want to throw up, pass out, or run away, I just prefer my space.

 

I’m definitely not a hugger unless it is family or people you are about. Most hugs were with brothers or mother.

 

One of my friends loves hugging. She will hug anyone who is slow enough to catch lol. She just likes that physical contact I guess.

Been in a professional situation with the opposite sex and everyone after a meeting was hugging goodbye - got taken off guard and got a hug from the CEO of my client which resulted in instant hard on beyond my control in a room full of peers. Awkward to say the least. In any other context, that sounds like a beginning of a great porno flick where that one action turns into an orgy scene LOL

I used to be uncomfortable with hugs from strangers and casual acquaintances. In fact, my friends who are are huggers used to make fun of me about it. But somehow I've changed in recent years, and I now am fine with hugs. I have no clue why I lost that dislike for it.

 

There’s also the issue of boobs when hugging. I find I get a bit uncomfortable hugging another woman because of the boob squish. So I tend to lean out so as not to do that. It’s not the best. At least hugging a guy doesn’t have that issue.

When I was younger, I had no issue with giving/getting hugged. Now after many years of not hugging anyone, I feel uncomfortable doing it and am uncomfortable being touched in general.
