I had $200 to win on Hercules at Tampa Bay Downs today. My wife wanted to know why I was jumping around clapping and chanting

 

Makes me cringe: We are watching my daughters 3 dogs, two shepherds and a little dog. The young shep under a year is wild and difficult, always excited and wanting to play. She jumps up on Reni when out in the back yard and she is very rough. Reni screams at the top of her lungs at her, "Stop. Get down. Leave me alone. Get off of me!" I told Reni the neighbors will hear her and call the police! They won't know it's a dog! They'll think it's me or a rapist! Especially at night~!

Also, my chubby cat tried to jump from the table to the couch and missed and ended up on the floor. So she started meowing her head off at me like it was my fault lol

 

I've had windows open all day today.

 

Used all my letters in Scrabble, scored 70 points and celebrated in front of the wife. I'm a bit competitive lol

 

Sunshine makes me smile, I smiled a lot today.

 

I buy tulips for myself regularly, and they’re just gorgeous. I love them so much.

 

It was a warm and beautiful day today. And I had it off! And I took my kid out for a lovely dinner and I’m full and satisfied and happy.

Someone taking the time to help me out without me even having to ask. That’s nice, really nice, especially when it’s unexpected.

 

Neighbor came over today in a panic, seems their dog was having seizures, she had managed to lock her keys in the house along with her phone, and she was going crazy trying to get to the vets.
So we go.
The vet is examining and finding nothing a lot wrong, it's an old dog so some heart issues, a cold, maybe pneumonia, but not serious probably and so on.
Neighbor called hubby to let him know, and the conversation could have been recorded between Shooter and his wife when their dog was sick.

Hubby "So how is Baxter now"?
Wife "Well, just now he's farting and the smell will cauterize your nostrils and take the enamel off of your teeth"
Hubby (exasperated) "I mean, what did the Vet say?"
Wife "The vet says his heart murmur is worse, which might explain the seizure when it combined with the virus thing"
Hubby "How do they know he's got a virus? Wait. WHAT VIRUS THING!??"
Wife "After they did the X Ray they did the blood test."
Hubby "X Ray AND Blood test? How much is this costing??"
Wife "Well, lets see. The X Ray was $300, the blood test $375, the exam was $125 and we don't know what the meds will cost"
Hubby "$800 already??!?!!!!
Wife "And I don't know what the cardiac vet will charge, but I'm guessing a couple of hundred at least."
Hubby Stunned silence
Wife "Now don't start, you know we wouldn't just let him suffer, and besides who was it said $4,000 for eye surgery was cheap for a dog?"
Hubby "Well, but damn, honey, we just got Chris's tuition and residence bill! How is this gonna work? Did you try to negotiate with them? Find a cheaper way?
Wife "How about you stop with the criticism and just get here. I'm gonna need a ride home."
Hubby "I thought neighbor took you to the vet?"
Wife "Yes he did, but we're gonna need to talk, and I don't want anyone else hearing what I have to say"
Hubby Stunned silence

So anyway, Baxter the dog is fine except for some truly awesome farts, and so far the cops haven't had to show up at the neighbors so I'm guessing all is wonderful at the neighbors tonight.

 

I received my 8 month sobriety coin tonight! Over a week late, but I don't care!
