She sprang up from the bed like the teenager that she was and practically bounced down the stairs and out the door.

When Cami was definitely gone, I peeled the covers back to expose Dez's wide open legs. The sheets were soaked. I finally let my sister read this story and she pointed out that it had been two months since Dez had found the pictures. I told Cami that it had only been a month, though. I didn't want her to think that her mother had been obsessing for too long. That would have been weird.

There are some elements that I left out of this that could explain things a little more fully. Cami's relationship with Shawn, for instance, could have been explored a little more fully. It runs the risk of being against the rules to explain much of it, though. I'll have to think about how to handle it. Thoughts?
