laid down after dinner around 730 and dozed off. woke up at midnight wide awake so got some work done. 5am now thinking if i go back to sleep i wont wake up to my alarm in 2hrs

I’ve been sad for the last few days, and don’t enjoy sharing the news that @Devil's Bastard passed away this spring from an extended illness.

I liked his sense of humour and gentlemanly ways, he was friendly and funny and thoughtful and observant.

And a sailor, so that puts him in a special spot in the universe.

Safe travels, Mikael. The world is smaller without you.

 

Feeling somewhat refreshed. Had a cortisone injection into my right Sacco-iliac joint (hip) and it seems to have given me some relief. I actually got some sleep with much reduced pain.

I guess time will tell if it works long term.

 

Is Insanity contagious? Because my deceased brother's insanity is driving me nuts. So my status is nuts.. I am working on clearing one of his attics. Who buys 4 copies of the same game and then packs them in an attic? And all the unopened boxes in 2nd contain collector plates also. That isn't even 2% of the total hoard. WHAAAAA!

 

A friend's es wife did that. She had 3 homes and a few hundred acre ranch with a huge barn.
Full. Multiples of everything from books to tools to xylophones (really, four of them, all new, in the box). She died of cancer and because there was no one else it fell to friend to deal with it all.
Libraries in 4 states made out. Goodwills, salvation armies and CASAS in 4 states all made out. It took 2 years and a fleet of estate estimators to settle the estate. Her will left it all to PETA.

 

I’m so excited - by proxy - for a young woman that’s finalizing important steps that’ll take her into the next phase of her life.

The future’s right there - so close you can almost touch it. What a magical, wonderful time.

In a world where awful things seem to want to blot out the light, watching young women easing into their power is a balm on my soul.

This is an A/C vent in my kitchen that if you can't tell by the pic, Is at most 3-4 inches away from my face when I stand under it. With temperatures up 120 degrees fahrenheit here, after coming in from outsi'd when the air is on, Opening it up and feeling the blast hit you in the face.
