What are some of your hobbies? I collect wind up watches and weird spark plugs. I also collect and make dip and fountain pens. I really like to watch bad movies like Plan 9 from outer space.

 

I think most hobbies are strange to people who don’t share the enthusiasm wit the hobbyist.
Stamp collection, trains, Comic-Con cosplay, etc. If you’re not into it, it’s strange to you.

 

I dated a guy who collected hubcaps. Never did anything with them. Would stop in the middle of traffic to pick one up. Stored 250 of them in an ex gf's basement. When he started collecting pencils with erasers and rubber ducks, well... I decided it was time to go. I think he's now a professional hoarder.

 

I don't collect anything anymore. I started to like a more clutter-free look a few years ago, and got rid of the teapots I used to collect.

 

It is gross. I have a booger collection. Been collecting for a long time.

 

My main hobby is recording and performing strange music, often electronic, and improvised. I sometimes create drone music, and even noise. It is a mindfulness exercise for me, and something I really enjoy, even if nobody else does.

 

Not really strange but I collect DC Comics memorabilia.

 

When we pass a dead bird on the road or at the beach, I remove its wings and take them home. I’m collecting them until I have enough to make a pig fly.

 

I don’t think any of my hobbies are strange, but maybe the fact I have so many is strange lol. I collect antiques, I craft stuff, especially props I use in my photography, I make jewelry, I collect antique bottles and glass and old books and magazines from the 1800’s, and I collect old paper and manuscripts (some from the 1600’s and 1700’s), and I write.

 

I like to build Legos, read (audio books), fix broken electronics (PC's mostly as a side hustle). I also like to do a bit of wood working (gutter children, I know what you are thinking) and I love to go to the movie (there is something about just being there with the big screen)

 

I collect skeleton dogs...I have a whole pack!!!

 

Looked through all my "stuff" and found nothing that would fall into the category of a hobby. As long as you agree accumulating "stuff" isn't a hobby.

 

I like to collect the fat and grease from cooking and use it as fuel for a lamp (a Pyrex measuring cup with 3 twine wicks), which I burn next to me when I smoke pot on the porch like a little campfire.

Apparently I like to collect sunglasses. I wouldn’t consider it a hobby I’ve chosen on purpose though. Lol

 

We have sex-toy parties and I have a very nice collection.
It is a lot more fun than tupperwear parties

 

I don't know if it's considered a strange hobby, but I frequently by and build model kits, I also have a smaller hobby of collecting old interesting vintage items.

 

My hobby is definitely strange. I'm an amateur taxidermist. A lot of my projects have come from picking up roadkill. The fresher roadkill makes for good projects, the older stuff is a little more difficult to work with. But I have also worked on a few pets and would love to work on more.

I'm to the point where I can preserve about 95% of a freshly dead animal. Dry out the paws for "lucky rabbits foot" type pieces. Make the organs into wet specimens. And whiten skulls and bones. I also have some pelts saved in my freezer, but I still haven't figured out how to tan them, which will be my next project coming up.

I do make display pieces and jewelry out of different specimens. And have sold some wet specimens. I used to work a couple local art shows and have made so decent money. Once even selling 200$ in a night.

Definitely an odd hobby, and people look at me like a serial killer when I mention it. But like, nope I'm just a science nerd. I was really into biology when I was in high school. But when I graduated I didn't wanna put myself into debt to go to college to do anything in that sort of career, so I decided to learn how to preserve animals through YouTube and have just been using my knowledge as a learning experience to and to try to give myself a job in that field.
