It was a busy day.

Walked cherrypup around this morning and in the last few hours.

Phone calls were constant like usual. Got approved to leave early next week for job interview.

Found out that I could have saved 30 dollars on Chiefs tickets and parking this weekend

Got a call from family member about possibly coming over

I’m laying on couch watching videos on YouTube. Will play game later.

 

It was a Great day. Perfect weather and a fun nine holes of golf with my brother after work was a really great ending.

 

Not great I must say...

I just got rear-ended on the freeway, and buy some miracle my already damaged back wasn't hurt further so I can't complain too much but my poor van!!!

 

Did yard work. Trying to get rid of the poison oak along the stone wall along the back of my property! It keeps growing back no matter what I do. Wish I'd baked a cake or sucked a dick instead!!

 

It’s been a good day.

Last night my brother stayed at my house. I also signed up for a meetup event this coming Thursday at venue I’ve been to before.

Work has been business as usual .

This morning my nephew was dropped off at my house as he will be staying the night today and tomorrow.

Had an appt with AC company to service cooling unit.

Talked to nephew midday and will be taking him to a minor league baseball game tonight. Will be leaving shortly.

I’ll return after 9 pm.

 

Today was fun because all my work besties were there. We don’t work a lot lol. I had a meeting with my supervisor and he submitted me for a special training program and I got it. That was super nice! And I just ordered in a blackened chicken sandwich for dinner and I’m watching season 4 of the Umbrella Academy.

 

Got a lot done. 4 va doctors seen today and got a back brace to help with the pain.

 

Meh!

 

It was a good day.

Went to laundry mat then grocery shopping at Walmart. Later on I threw football with my nephew. A few hours later my nephew and me went to Buffalo Wild Wings for lunch. Afterwards we headed to KC Chiefs game.

Unfortuanetly they lost but it’s preseason. Just got back after a 45 min delay in getting out of stadium. Nephew had great time. Picked up dinner at Pizza Hut.

I’m laying on couch and going to play Madden 25 with nephew.

No walk with cherrypup.

Tomorrow I have country bar Meetup event at 6 pm.

 

It was fine. I ran my errands (settled for T-Bones on sale for $10 less a pound than Ribeyes!), so I only had time for two movies, both on Prime Video.

I watched 'Jackpot!' with John Cena and Awkwafina, and it was crazy good! The most I've laughed out loud since Team America. Expertly done, it set up its absurd/stupid tone very early and effectively, so once you go with the flow, it's funny as fuck and boasts great action.

I first saw ex-wrestler John Cena in '12 Rounds' and he was okay in an okay movie, but this guy has been really working at it, and counts as one of today's top comedic actors, and Awkwafina was a marvel as well - incredible chemistry between the two. Kudos!!!
I highly recommend!


Then I watched 'Covert Games'. Given that it's about Russians in the 1999 Kosovo-Herzegovina war, it's filled with misinformation and Russian 're-envisioned history' propaganda, but it's very gritty, graphic and ultra-violent ( so at least it passed that test!).
Aside from the 'truth', it played very well, with great emotional impact within the fast-moving war story. Just don't take it as 'history.'

I did errands and then watched a movie with my bf.

 

It was a lazy day.

Walked cherrypup around block twice. Remainder of the day it was me around the house watching videos on YouTube and playing a game.

I’m sitting on couch and will be leaving for meetup at country bar in 25 min. Afterwards some members will be going to a karaoke bar after 8 pm. I will play it as ear for this event.

Tomorrow I have a job interview at 3:30 pm.

 

It's been great - no errands, no real chores, but I watched some good movies - all on Netflix.

Finished up Star Trek Beyond, which I'd seen, but didn't remember much - I was only sure I'd seen it in the ending sequence. Great action throughout, but apparently pretty forgettable. A nice ride.


Next up was a second viewing of 'Unthinkable' starring Samuel L. Jackson - a thrilling but difficult flick that poses several real moral questions. It's brutal, but feels 'real life.' Somewhat of an emotional wringer. The ending should have been more conclusive about the 'fourth bomb.'


Next up was a first viewing of The Union, starring Mark Wahlberg and Halle Berry. I always check out movies on IMDB, and evaluate the integrity of the reviews, and this flick had detractors, but scored a 5.6 - well within my acceptibility range, and I found it to be delightful and enthralling. Plenty of major well-staged action, with very natural humor throughout, with a minor in emotional impact. I loved it!


Now, I'm halfway through City Hunter, and it's awesome so far - very funny, with plenty of action, an intriguing plot and a high involvement in the emotional motivations of the characters. And there's a very sexy 'Cosplay model' factor that is delicious as fuck. I can't wait to see the conclusion.

I woke up feeling terrible this morning and grumpy AF. But I feel much better now and my migraine is finally gone. I didn’t do much today

Phone calls were constant. Had technical issues with a tool on my laptop.

Walked cherrypup around the block twice.

As soon as shift ended at 3:30 pm I had job interview. Got to speak with two employees at company. Overall I felt like I knocked it out of the park. All questions posed to me were answered to the best of my ability. I bragged about my career a lot.

I’m laying on couch and might play a game soon.

 

It was a good day, drove all day but was peaceful.

 

My industrial shelving arrived today, with the vertical supports crushed in transit by the freight company. The driver pointed it out as soon as she unloaded it. No point to giving her grief, she reported it back to the dispatcher and by the time I called my vendor, they were ready ship me the replacement parts. Slowed me down but not by much.

 

The lawn people with their aerating machine punched a hole in a water line. Fortunately, not the one going into the house.
