I have retract my remarks about the allegations that CIA/NSA are withholding secrets from the White House. That came from a Wall St. Journal exclusive this morning, and it looked credible.

But it is already coming out that there is absolutely nothing to it. Fake news. Just like all this Russian hacking nonsense.

This development is really pissing me off. The Wall St. Journal is pretty much all we have left, in terms of independent investigative reporting. But it seems that there is not a single shred of corroboration to that story. It is no more real than the crap that took down Flynn.

 

This is what you got out of my post about the treason question? Weird. I did say to Sanity-is-Relative that treason by Flynn would be a big story indeed, if in fact there were any treason to be found.

 

I answered it on the other thread. Here I'll answer it a little differently:

Flynn's gone, and so it doesn't matter what the answer is. Because any answer Trump gives just perpetuates the non-story by dignifying it. Point is, no one has even the allegation of a crime commited by Flynn. So the question is just a pitch in the dirt.

Or to put it another way: they're not going to answer this question, for the same reason Bush didn't run to the press with proof of missiles and sarin trucked to Syria, just to say, "See, I told you so, I was right all along." By then the damage had been done, and so the fact that Iraqi WMD's had been found in Syria no longer mattered.

 

Trump held a press conference that was more than an hour long today in which he said he fired Flynn for lying about his conversation with the Russian ambassador. So even Trump is making a liar out of you.

 

For those denying Flynn committed any crimes they may have to eat those words because lying to the FBI is a felony.

Because Nordstrom and the other retailers are afraid to be honest about the real reason they're dropping Ivanka's collections.

Update: It appears that Nieman Marcus has also cut the first daughter's fashion line. As The Hill reports, a search of the website shows no results for any products by Trump. Her brand's name is also no longer on the main list of designers on the site.

Neiman Marcus did not respond to an immediate request for comment.

Suburban women ditch Nordstrom and go on a cash-waving rampage to support Ivanka Trump

A viral video shows a group of women storming into a Nordstrom to cancel their accounts in response to the retailer's decision to stop selling Ivanka Trump's fashion brand, promising to shop at Dillard's instead.

On Wednesday, Laurie Ray posted a video on Facebook of herself and seven other women — some wearing shirts with photos of President Donald Trump that say "Haters Gonna Hate" — walking into a Nordstrom in Chandler, Arizona, with handfuls of cash to cancel their accounts, The Daily Mail reported.

"I've been shopping at Nordstrom for 30 years," one woman in the video says, speaking into a telephone. "Because of your decision to drop Ivanka Trump, I will no longer shop at your store, nor will my husband or our nine children or our eight grandchildren."

Instead, the women say they are "headed to Dillard's to buy all kinds of stuff." Dillard's continues to sell Ivanka's brand.
