I thought I did last year but luckily that trainwreck went straight into the crapper and the love of my life walked back into my life right after that in person and not behind a computer screen ... there are days that I still think about her though but running into a solid object cures that quickly enough lol.

Sure it is possible though if you work hard to make a face to face happen and see if there are any real sparks. There is no accountability over the internet and as such makes for a shaky foundation but there are always exceptions to the rule and I am a hopeless romantic so I hold hope that it can happen for some.

It is possible to fall in love online. By talking over the Internet people can know styles, habits and characters of each other. By exchanging photos they can value appearance of each other. It is ample to fall in love.

 

I believe first you have to ask, "Can a person fall in love?" My answer is a flat, firm no. What people "fall" into, IMO, is desire and is based on what s/he is missing. Connecting with someone you find interesting can certainly lead to love, in time.

 

Everyone's idea of love and expectations and what they can contribute are so different and I have spoke off the forum to many people from here over the years and most have such sad lives and will probably never find love. I have tried to let them down as gentle as possible but they turn vicious when you decline and well that is why they are alone.

I may be wrong but the internet is not real life , that is only confirmed once a face to face takes place .
I would like to think that it is possible though as I speak with some rather kind women from time to time online but am realistic about the pitfalls of gullibility !

 

I'm just watching "This Means War" that has a connection to a dating service online but it raises a question, with two friends dating the same woman without either of them knowing it. If you play the percentages like anything else you "have the chance" of increasing your odds of finding someone since limiting yourself to one site "your person" might not be on that site but that is a double edge sword too if you are on every site known to man lol.

For argument sake, you find someone that you seem to connect with and start a dialogue back and forth. The prudent thing to do is move it to a more personal forum like email or skype (or whatever) as a show of good faith that you no longer need to be on the site that you met on to reassure that person that you take it seriously and don't need others messaging you any longer ... sounds simple enough right ??? WRONG lol. If you have ever experienced what I just said you also may have heard the words "I noticed that you were on that site the other day and I thought we had something going on", to which there is no right answer lol. It becomes a sick game with some that turn it into a stalking adventure or keeping tabs on at least and the conversation turns from rainbows and puppies to a more defensive tone ...

I could go on for pages with how that plays out but by now you have either gotten the point or are nodding your head thinking "that sounds about right lol". The odds are stacked against you if you are looking for love on a dating site BUT the odds are in your favor if you are simply looking for a "hookup". I have had countless one night stands from some sites in the past but I stated that intention up front so as not to give the wrong impression with the off chance that one would actually work out. People are lonely and want companionship by nature but you can get down and dirty while you are looking for Miss/Mr right ...

I did the same thing in nightclubs to a degree and I am a litle luckier than some since I am easy on the eyes lol, but if you get shot down once in a bar and your ego gets bruised you deserve it lol. If you ask 10 women to dance or if you can buy them a drink the percentages say that you will be getting your horn scraped by the end of the night if you have any game (not the same thing as being a player necessarily if you are upfront).

Anyway, just a little food for thought and you are free to disagree but the I give a fuck department is down the hall to the left lol.

I am so glad those days are long behind me and my Miss Right walked right back into my life as if the love gods had orchestrated it. Now dating is the least of my concerns and having to look totally interested in her wedding dress magazines and websites is the challenge LOL.

Bottom line is not to look desperate and saturate yourself all over the internet or you will be spending your nights with your dick in hand or fingers in pussy ...

Okay, I'm not looking for any relationship online or otherwise so this isn't from first hand experience. I think there's a lot of people out there who are looking for a relationship and looking online can greatly expand your search to find that someone you're attracted to.
