Oh fuck one of my favorite times of the day; Sean Spicer's daily press briefing which is always almost as good as watching Saturday Night Live.

But I am betting this one is going to be even better because Spicer was fool enough to lead off bragging about the jobs report. Get ready for the questions like; But Sean didn't President Trump say the job and unemployment numbers from the government were nothing but lies"? Or "Sean, what is the Trump adjusted unemployment figures"?

Also Sean is already showing the strain today. He's reading about 100 mph. And the rushing shows the stress.

 

Eventually Sean Spicer will get tired of being Trump's hired liar, and he will resign. It will be fun to read his memoir of what the inside of the Trump administration looks like.

 

Rasmussen Reports has a reputation of slightly exaggerating support for Republicans.

Rasmussen Reports has tracked Trump's approval rating since the inauguration. Right now his approval index is -11. This is the lowest it has ever been during his presidency. During the last election the GOP lost seats in both houses of Congress. Nevertheless, Trump keeps acting and talking as though he won by a landslide and has overwhelming support in Congress.

What a fuck up!!! Spicer just kind of sprung that on the press corp. And now he's panicked, lost control of the room, and every single question is now about Flynn and Spicer is now reduced to babbling nonsense.

Spicer knew he had to drop another bombshell revelation on Flynn and offer the excuse that even though Trump's transition team lawyers were informed that Flynn was in fact a an unregistered Foreign Agent for all the time he had been working on the Trump campaign they went ahead and appointed him National Security advisor anyway because they don't really vet people in the Trump administration themselves. They just take their word for it they have nothing to hide.

Yeah this coming from the guy who claims his administration is capable of "extreme vetting."

During an interview with CNBC, Cohn did say the report was "right exactly where we needed it to be," but also noted that Trump's team wasn't the reason for the beat.

For one thing, Cohn noted, the jobs that have been promised by CEOs meeting with Trump haven't happened yet.

"Look, there's clearly a good February as part of the number," said Cohn. "I'm not going to deny that, but on the other hand when you look at what we've been doing here are the White House and all of the CEOs we've brought in -- whether it be Sprint or Intel -- they have promised enormous amounts of jobs and job creation in the United States. Those hirings have not been done yet. Those are future hirings."

Thus, the beat in the February report according to Cohn is on the back of the recovery from the past 8 years under President Barack Obama.

A New York federal prosecutor who refused to resign when he and 45 other prosecutors were asked to by the Trump administration says he has been sacked.

"I did not resign. Moments ago I was fired," said Preet Bharara on Twitter.

Mr Bharara was first asked to remain in his post by President Donald Trump, when they met after the election.

But on Friday he was included in a list of prosecutors appointed by former President Barack Obama who were asked by the Justice Department to step down.

 

Yeah I saw that also and it looks like there won't be many US attorney's on the side of marijuana reform either. Of course this is all pretty standard when a new president comes in. I think most of them ask the US Attorney's to resign so they can load up the offices with their own ilk.
