[A poll by FOX News] of 1,008 registered voters was conducted March 12 to 14. ... Respondents were also asked to say if they had a favorable or unfavorable opinion of several people, groups, and items, and Sanders came out on top, with 61 percent having a favorable reaction and 32 percent unfavorable, followed by Planned Parenthood (57 percent favorable, 32 percent unfavorable); ObamaCare (50 percent favorable, 47 percent unfavorable); and Pence (47 percent favorable, 43 percent unfavorable). Only 44 percent had a favorable view of Trump, while 53 percent had an unfavorable view.

So what? Donald Trump is the President. That is all that really matters.

A president with a 37% approval rating in his first 100 days. That number sounds way too high.

Despite all the rhetoric from shocked democrats, Hillary Clinton lost. Democrats are not in power. Until the democrats find a way to improve the economic lives of all the citizens of the U.S. they will remain the minority party. Negativity never encourages...

It's true, republicans are in power, which means the responsibility is on THEM. If they fuck up, if Trump does something offensive or stupid, you don't get to just throw Obama and Hillary under the bus. They're no longer your scapegoats. The arguement "still better than Hillary" is now irrellevant, it's time to own up to the choice you made.

The local right wing partisans will say, "The last election proved that polls do not matter."

Polls do matter when Senators and Congressional representatives decide whether or not to vote for Trump's policies.

Bernie Sanders makes me think of a star athlete sitting on the bench while watching his team lose the big game. He keeps shouting, "Put me in coach! Put me in!"

    1. shootersa
And oh, if only the Democrats had not allowed a corrupt influence peddling robber to hijack the Democratic nomination process, you could have had your wish come true.

Sanders probably could have beat Trump. Any breathing, twitching Democrat but Clinton probably could have beat Trump.

And that is the legacy the Democrats carry away from the 2016 election.

      Bet that stings.

You say this like the average "democrat" had any choice in the primaries. Hillary was selected by the ones in control, not the general voters.

Even if Trump were removed, and Pence, Bernie isn't going to be put in, so his poll numbers don't really matter.

Sanders' poll numbers indicate that if Trump's presidency fails, taking the GOP down with it, a social democrat has a good chance of being elected president in 2020.

Of course a lot can happen between now and 2020. After a long learning curve Trump may become presidential.

    Polls are the gospel.

Adhere to the suggestions made by polls, guide your political career by what a poll suggests.

We need some new blooded politicians in office.

Corporate Democrats do not trust Bernie Sanders. Corporate Democrats are on the right side of the income divide. They hope that Democratic politicians can win on social issues alone.

Our representatives are elected to represent their constituents, and usually start out doing so. However they also have to begin raising money for reelection. This is the beginning of representing their own personal and economic interests. We did not elect them to represent their interests. One four year term is enough. Humans like leopards can't change their spots. Why encourage shenanigans?

All the more reason to publicly fund all elections. If they've no reason to solicit money, they have no reason to do the bidding of the highest donor.

Again I agree. With the stipulation one term. Never let a politician get dependent. There is nothing wrong in serving your community for four years period. It will prevent corruption. That should be our goal.

I think once you remove the incentive of money from politics that the need for term limits won't be as great. The corruption stems from money from private sources.

Shooter could agree to some form of publicly funded election process. He would want to see widely disclosed net worth evaluations for each official seeking election (Yes the Donald would have to release his tax returns) as well as school records, birth certificates, work records, arrest records; the works. Lets get into the nitty gritty of who these people are before we vote for them.

    "Make America great again."

For most white blue collar workers America was great during the 1950's. Factory worker and miner jobs were desirable back then because of Democrat economic reforms made during the 1930's.
