Is the Huffington Post supposed to be an online newspaper, or is it a primarily a looney op-ed blog?

 

Here's a very interesting question being asked on the internet right now and even asked of the White House concerning Trump's response to what Griffin did. Why is what Griffin did so terrible and unacceptable but what Ted Nuggent does is not.

And by extension it is now being asked of NRATV.

 

As usual you don't even read the crap you're posting. Did you catch that the article couldn't even directly quote what they allege Ted Nugent to have said?

They can't direct quote it, because he didn't say it.

This is a hot air gossip/opinion piece, and its punchline is bogus invented crap.

 

I think that what people are referring to is when Nugent said "We need to ride into that battlefield and chop their heads off in November" referring to the 2012 Re-election campaign.

How this is comparable to what Griffin did is yet to be seen.

 

Of course we could all become more sensitive, respectful of others and try to work things out bipartisanly.

Exactly what I've been saying to Stumbler/xxxAddict76 on two threads. The claim is completely conflated. Huffington Post can't even direct-quote it, because Nugent never said what they claimed he said.

But consider this: even if it were true that Nugent said we should chop off Obama's head-- even if it were true-- look at what the Huffington Post is attempting to do: (1) blame Trump for Nugent saying it or somehow imply that Trump feels the same way, and (2) they're attempting to equate the rants of a washed up old rock star with the graphical visual depiction of Trump's beheading on a nationally televised NEWS show.

Consider this: Can you imagine what would have happened if some Fox News personality like that guy Reilly had shown a severed head of Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton?

Forget Citizens United. The 1st Amendment would have been summarily stripped off the Constitution by imperial diktat.

Well no this is just a blatant lie. What people are referring to was Nugent calling for President Obama's death on multiple occassions and nonetheless Trump invited Nugent to the White House.

So... I've read all of this... five minutes I'll never get back... and I missed the direct quotes of Ted Nugent saying we should kill Obama. You say there are many. I didn't see a single one.

I did see the part where Nugent said Clinton should be tried for treason and hung.... Umm, that's not an assaassination; it's justice, because hanging is an approved punishment for treason at wartime...

But where exactly does Nugent say we should kill Obama? I missed it.

Oh no shootersa I am not about to shut up about this glaring hypocrisy. Because none of this has a damn thing to do with the glaring hypocrisy of Trump saying what Kathy Griffin did was terrible and inexcusable while not only giving Ted Nugent a free pass but also inviting him to the White House.

This is an example of why I think things through before I go off half cocked . My guess is she wishes she had done so as well in this case and it was truly tasteless .

 

So I heard on the news this morning that this bimbo is going to hold a press conference today with her attorney to address all of the backlash she received for her "lack of judgment". I personally go care what she has to say. I'm going follow this train until it crashes into the station and burns.

On a side note, Twitter really works. Griffin had three shows scheduled here, so I (along with a lot of other folks) sent a tweet to the venues asking them to cancel her shows. It worked! All three shows are now cancelled!
