  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

    Best regards,

    StanleyOG.

I don't know , but I remember hearing there are 14 Aussies in the loosing team , Oracle.
Could that be their archilles heel :)

I know we have 1 on the sailing team . others I don't know , but when we're not competing against each other , we often work together ,
so wouldn't be at all surprised if there's more sculking round there somewhere.
We do have a little sympathy.
      sometimes

Maybe Aussies will be able to afford a team next time.

They might only have to build a monohull.
    all be it foiling.

and another rumour/speculation , there may be a nationality rule ,
so there could be a lot of Aussies out of a job ,
    available cheap

and you'd only have to hop across the Tasman ditch ,
    velly velly cheap

Anyway , it is only speculation ,
but some think it may be a mono hull boat next.

All Dalton has really said , is that
it has to be all about sailing ,
and that it has to be at the pinnacle of the sport.
A foiling monohull could fit that.

It also might depend in what they consider the possibilities of multihulls.
Once your pushing 50knots , how much faster can you go ? safely ? ?

No one will want to promote something that goes like GPs did years back , and start killing participants.

Once you get over 30 knots on water things get trickier , and over 40 knots , starting to push it , and limiting reasonable conditions .
    50 knots (about 60mph) sailing ?
    I don't know ,
but you can bet the experts have been looking.

and they're already capable of 60mph

and that's in restricted wind limits

at sea , you can rarely use
30mph , I know from experience , having had high speed supply/work boats since mid 50s
(obviously I was just a kid back then , but already learning)

Then high speed fishing boat ,
      now , pleasure boat ,
      all the same.
30 and over is pretty much flat water , and doesn't take much to put you down to 27 , and lower as the sea rises ,
but with good hull design , and experience , can usually maintain 18 to 22 in anything reasonable to be out in.
