And that is very significant. And so is their constant denial of facts and reality. You can post proof that budget deficits and the national debt actually increase more under conservatives. And prove why that was the exception under President Obama because he inherited the Great Recession from Bush and the Republicans. You can prove that it is actually the Bush Tax cuts that drove the national debt. And all they can do is just keep setting their hair on fire and run around hysterically screaming BUT OBAMA BUT OBAMA BUT OBAMA.

Exactly it was just a bunch of nonsense buzz words that have no real meaning. Just more proof of the lie of conservatism as it is preached and practiced in this nation.

Ronald Reagan tripled the national debt because of what he did. Barack Obama doubled the national debt because of what he did not do.

Reagan cut the top tax rate from 70% to 28%. Obama did not impose a heavy tax burden in the well to do when his approval rate was 65%, and when most Americans wanted such an increase.

 

Madigan has steered Illinois into crisis

This is Speaker Michael Madigan’s Illinois.

It is the state Madigan has built through more than three decades as Speaker of the House, and since 1998 as boss of the majority Democratic Party. It is a state he largely rules despite being accountable only to the residents of his 22nd Legislative District on the southwest side of Chicago.

It also is a state in crisis, a crisis he and his fellow majority Democrats have created through years of irresponsible spending, including using dollars meant for pension payments to other purposes – after voting to make those pensions so generous as to be unaffordable.

Not coincidentally, Illinois has the highest unfunded pension liability in the country – about $130 billion – even though 25 percent of the state’s general spending goes to pension payments.

Madigan’s Illinois also has by far the most units of local government, and not coincidentally, one of the highest property tax rates.

It is a state that has not had a budget in almost three years because legislators, under Madigan’s leadership, have been unwilling to make spending cuts required to give Illinoisans a government they can afford. Addressing our state’s systemic failings might anger their state-employee and union voter base, something Madigan’s Democrats are loath to do.

Instead, our state has about $15 billion in unpaid bills.

In nearly three years without a balanced budget, state road construction projects have halted. So have public building projects. The network of nonprofit organizations that provide social services, including to seniors and those with physical and mental disabilities, has withered with the loss of funds. Tuition assistance for low-income college students has dried up, too.

If the stalemate reaches a third year, state universities could lose their accreditation, which would result in loss of access to federal funds, enrollment declines, tuition increases, and depressed economies in several Illinois cities. The pace of out-migration from our state will only accelerate, placing an even greater burden on those who remain.

Our state also is perilously close to having its credit rating reduced to junk status, which could cost taxpayers millions in higher interest payments.

Madigan’s preferred remedy for our state has long been to impose an income tax increase, taking more money out of the pockets of working families. He’s not accountable to most of us, anyway.

But members of Madigan’s Democratic caucus, and the state Democratic Party, are accountable to him. They know that if they are disloyal, they will be punished.

Public anger is growing, however, which may have prompted more statements by Madigan to reporters than usual during this special session of the legislature. Much of it has been lip service.

He’s said his Democrats are “prepared to work with anyone,” they are “fully engaged,” and have given issues brought forward by the governor “full consideration.”

Incredibly, the man who controls the state’s majority party and has the power to call – or not call – any bills for a vote says Rauner is the one holding the budget-making hostage with an “extreme right agenda.”

Rauner is not without fault, but at least he was elected by our entire state. He carried 101 of Illinois’ 102 counties when elected in 2014 and garnered more than 1.8 million votes – more than half of all votes cast. Two years later, Madigan received 17,155 votes in a contested primary he won easily.

Yet the soft-spoken Madigan is the one in control, as he has been for 33 years.

His leadership has brought us here, and so long as Democrats continue to meekly follow where he leads, we have little hope for real improvement in our state’s fortunes.

Yes I did and just posted the proof (for the second time in just the past few days) that you cannot keep your stories straight. Go look for it because right now I have to address another one of your lies of conservatism.

Ok here's another example of the lie of conservatism as it is preached and practiced in this nation. Conservatives like Jdbfromnj and many others will contend they oppose a woman's right to have an abortion because life begins at conception and the fetus is an innocent life.

But then on another thread not long ago Jdbfromnj said that no one should have to pay for someone else's healthcare and if they cannot afford to pay for their own healthcare they should be allowed to just die. Which proves that they only care about their religious beliefs BEFORE birth. But once after the baby is born they could care less if it lives or dies and actually condemn the mother and baby for having to receive public assistance to feed the child, house it, and keep it healthy.

And in a broader sense while conservatives will claim life is sacred and women should not be allowed to have an abortion the majority of conservatives also support the death penalty even though when we look at the number of people sentenced to death who are later found to be innocent just by the laws of odds and possibility it is virtually impossible that we do not execute innocent people.

Which again just proves when conservatives claim they believe all life is sacred and its murder to kill an innocent human being they are just lying about that.

 

The Republican Party has not been a force for progressive social and economic change since Teddy Roosevelt left office.

According to a Gallup poll from last April, 61 percent of Americans feel that the rich contribute less than their fair share in federal taxes.

Democrats have the strongest sense of tax injustice, but a surprisingly large number of conservatives hold the same views: A plurality of Republicans (45 percent) told Gallup that upper-income Americans don't pay enough in taxes — more than those who said that the rich pay enough (32 percent) or those who said the rich pay too much (20 percent).

And what is most interesting not one of you have been able to prove a single point I have made wrong yet. And that is because conservatism is in fact and in deed a lie as it is preached and practiced in this nation. And I am nowhere near done yet.

Liberals are upset – they’re always upset – that the evil GOP of Hate has condemned America to a return to a marginally more progressive version of the nightmarish hellscape that was our country before Obamacare passed on March 21, 2010. Once again, the lifeless bodies of those who fail to buy themselves health insurance will be piled upon the sidewalks, left to be carted away as they were in the dark ages of the ‘90s and ‘00s – no doubt by industrious undocumented workers who should be paid a living wage for performing this job that Americans just won’t do. And the Republicans will sit by, watching through their monocles, giggling at this grim tableau of human misery until they grow bored and return to their regularly scheduled agenda of puppy torture and crushing the dreams of young women who want only break the glass ceiling and “be the very best me I can be.”

Because, for Democrats trying to appeal to their Party’s base of unaccomplished coastal snobs and indolent, welfare-grifting morons, Armageddon is always just around the corner whenever conservatives do anything. Or whenever conservatives don’t do anything. It’s sort of, “heads you lose, tails you also lose, now give us more power and all your money.”

The GOP’s recent first baby steps toward the repeal of Obamacare set the liberals to rebooting their utterly predictable script. This isn’t just about some changes to how health insurance is sold. No, instead “House Republicans vote[d] to sentence millions of Americans to death.” Yeah, someone wrote that headline on purpose.

When in doubt, deploy the hyper-hyperbole. How many of us Americans will die because we are transitioning back to a slightly more liberal version of the healthcare system of seven years ago? All of us! But then, we’ll all die anyway even if we stay with Obamacare, but that’s not the point. There is no point – it’s all a lie and everyone except the very stupidest among us (who all vote Democrat anyway) knows it’s a lie, yet the Dems spew it anyway. This is about ginning up their base.

So, off we go to the Numbskull Olympics. Taking the gold for Freestyle Idiocy is California Democrat Senator Kamala Harris, who is incredibly stupid even for a California Democrat senator. She tweeted that 129 million people are going to lose their health insurance and presumably die. This is surprising, both because the 129 million figure is so insanely dumb that merely seeing that figure drops the reader’s IQ into freefall, and also because Kamala somehow managed to count past 10 without taking her shoes off.

Kamala also announced, without citation, that health care is “a right for all.” Those of us familiar with the Constitution are confused, since that document is entirely free of any such right, nor of any other right to force others to toil to provide you with things you want for free. What is in there are the rights to speak freely and petition, but Kamala discovered a footnote that says those enumerated rights don’t apply to citizens who dare doubt the other great Mystery Right, the penumbraed and emanated right to freely kill babies. And don’t bother asking about the Second Amendment either; sophisticated folk like Kamala aren’t restrained from indulging their limitless appetite for petty oppression by the express enumeration of rights.

Yes, the liberal lie is alive and well....
