I didn't agree with the CBS Attorney who posted she didn't have any sympathy for the victims because they were probably Republicans and she has already been fired and had it coming.

But I do agree with Rep. Seth Moulton (D-Mass.) who said he won’t participate in a moment of silence on the House floor for victims of Sunday night's deadly mass shooting Las Vegas. In fact if I was there I would join him. It is just such total, deadly, and outrageous total fucking hypocrisy to keep sending "thoughts and prayers" and having moments of silence for the victims when you are never willing to do a fucking thing to try and stop gun violence and in fact just keep doing things to make it worse. Like trying to legalize silencers. I wouldn't join that hypocrisy either.

 

I wonder if the NFL players will take a knee for the victims or is that only for black people?

1. A chart showing 1,516 mass shootings in 1,735 days. It's just four years, and counts only MASS shootings, no individual shootings. It's incredible, it goes on and on and on forever.

2. Kinda hard to link to, because it's from the Guardian's live coverage of this incident, but I'll post it here:

It shows how the "good guy with a gun" fairy tale just doesn't work out, because among the chaos and confusion, nobody knows who the good guys are, and anyone with a gun is a suspect. On top of that, it's easy to talk a big game of bravado until you're in the midst of it.

What you say here is so true. And let's just look at this shooting. The guy in the hotel had high powered rifles that have no problem at all shooting 400 yards. And he didn't even have to aim. There were so many people down there all he had to do was pull the trigger and he was bound to hit someone.

While conversely if people on the ground had guns and started shooting back at him there is little to no chance they could even hit the windows from that distance. But every chance they would be hitting lots of other windows and killing or injuring innocent people in those rooms.

This "it takes a good guy with a gun to stop a bad guy with a gun" is just stupid and dangerous bullshit.

The guys don't just believe fake news like this. They try and spread it with great glee and gusto.

 

I think the guy just did it for the **** of it like he prolly didn't care about life anymore since he was kinda old 64 or something but that's just my opinion. What a sad day for the world to hear about this news

 

Anyone else notice how many times the Trump supporters try to claim its the liberals that try to politicize something like this shooting and condemn people they believe are on the left as hate filled and violent because they say something like Republicans don't deserve sympathy? Yeah me too. I notice that kind of glaring hypocrisy all the time.
