I think it is good idea just it has to be done correctly to not make mess in the thread. Also too much options can be confusing for new or older members...

I "Liked" your Comment and have responded with a Comment that nobody will ever read, @Wafarer.

 

Readers should have the right to vote down if they do not like the story. Some users can down vote on purpose but the same can do with up vote... To minimize this behavior allow to vote only to registered readers.

 

I always deny unregistered voters, but that barely helps. Just hours after my story hits the list, some asshole votes it down. And no, they shouldn't have the right to down vote. You don't like a story, say so in the comments. Down votes do nothing but screw people over.

 

Obvious you (ILMJ) have never written a story in your life. You have no idea how furious it makes an author to put up a story and have someone down vote it a few minutes later simply out of spite. You have no idea how to run a website, either, as evidenced by your silly remarks above. Who gives a crap if someone is registered or not? Marc Whateverthefuckhisname is has been casting down votes for years on any story that denies unregistered voters. You think being registered matters? Are you aware of anonymous email accounts? Are you aware of proxies that allow you to spoof IP addresses? The only way you get rid of haters is to remove their tools. Don't allow people to down vote and the trolls will disappear. It really doesn't take Albert Einstein to see this.

We volunteered our time (worked for free) and with 5 of us, the site was covered for a good portion of the 24 hours in a day - including weekends.

 

And they know that we are going to report the wrong-doers, instead of being able to take care of them like we used to. Why should we still care?

 

What exactly did you used to take care of, I mean besides your friends? All one has to do is take a look around and see you ex mods breaking the rules yourself.

They still want their janitor jobs back so they can feel some sort of importance but just look at wsf over in the games section posting videos with children and yet he was once a mod. No wonder they were fired.
