Ocasio-Cortez compares members of migrant caravan to Jews fleeing Nazi Germany

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the star Democratic congresswoman-elect from New York, compared migrant caravan members who clashed over the weekend with U.S. border agents to Jewish families fleeing Nazi Germany and other targets of genocide.

Ocasio-Cortez, who was elected to represent New York’s 14th Congressional District earlier this month, tweeted over the weekend in support of those attempting to cross the U.S.-Mexico border. She compared those fleeing violence in Central America to those who escaped Germany, Rwanda and Syria.

“Asking to be considered a refugee & applying for status isn’t a crime. It wasn’t for Jewish families fleeing Germany. It wasn’t for targeted families fleeing Rwanda. It wasn’t for communities fleeing war-torn Syria. And it isn’t for those fleeing violence in Central America,” Ocasio-Cortez tweeted late Sunday.

All I can say is....god help the 14th Congressional district in New York State.

 

LOL, this woman is making a complete fool of herself. She represents the Democrat party very well.

I predict she will continue to showcase her over the top stupidity and she will cause division and discord within the Democrat party.

 

The difference is that the Jews fleeing Nazi Germany had IQ averaes of 115. The Hispanics immigrating to the United States have IQ averages of about 89.

Also, the Jews were fleeing the tyranny of another ethnicity. Hispanics flee the social dysfunction of the societies they create everywhere.

It is counter productive for democratic socialists to promote multi racial immigration. Social Democracy has only worked well in countries where nearly everyone is white.

So as it turns out those homeless migrants, you know, the ones just seeking asylum and a better life for themselves and their families and in particular, their little children, have a bit more anger than despicables thought in the beginning.

On Sunday and again on Monday, migrants who camped out in Mexico waiting to cross into the US mobbed the border and were repulsed by tear gas fired by US Customs and Border Patrol agents. Estimates were that over 100 men rushed the entry point in Tijuana, shielded by women and children they had leading the charge. Some reports indicated that the rush was a failure, and that no one made it across, but other reports were that roughly a dozen men did make it across the border and were still being sought. Mexico, for it's part, arrested those who tried to rush the border and are deporting them. In Mexicali, over 200 caravan migrants had planned to bus over to Tijuana, but were blocked by Mexican authorities.

The tear gas was fired after migrants started throwing rocks and other "missiles". Shooter thought it appropriate now to see how Old Tool's predictions fit with reality;

1) That less than a 1,000 person group will eventually present themselves at the southern border of the US

• Latest estimates are that over 7,000 migrants in 4 caravans are now at the border crossing points in Mexicali and Tijuana. Another caravan is reported to have left Honduras yesterday, with over 500 migrants.

2) That no US citizen, whether civilian or military, is physically harmed by any member of the "Caravan"

• Well, the Border Patrol says no one was injured in two days of repelling migrant attacks, but President Trump said 3 agents were injured. We also know that at least one Migrant was seriously injured trying to climb the border fence.

3) That any US Military Forces present will only help set up shelter tents and other infrastructure tasks, performing no military actions of any kind whatsoever

• No reports that the military have done anything more than support Border Patrol agents, mainly by adding additional razor wire to the walls, and clearing potential points of forced entry. No military personnel have been reported as patrolling the border or checking documents at points of entry.

4) That a percentage of at least 75% of the "Caravan" who apply will pass the initial test for Asylum

• Well, that would be over 5,000 caravan migrants qualifying for asylum, given the over 7,000 now at the gates. Since many have already been deported (Mexico says they had deported over 1,000 caravan migrants before Sunday) it is doubtful that over 5,000 will ultimately qualify for asylum.

So, although Old Tool has already conceded the challenge, Shooter thought it would be interesting to see how it turned out.

Kudos again to Old Tool for manning up and conceding the challenge.

Now, it also is interesting to see how the media have been treating the migrant rush to break into the United States;
NBC news reported the attempts, noting that women and children were tear gassed because they had been leading the charge, apparently forced into it by males who then tried to break through the entry points or climb the walls. Other stories from NBC noted that support for the migrants in Mexico is rapidly decreasing, and deportations are increasing.

Fox news, predictably, reported that a mob of migrants rushed the border, throwing rocks and bottles and putting border patrol agents in danger.
The New York Times thought the main story was how the new Mexican president, Andrés Manuel López would reconcile his trade mark defense of the poor and down trodden with Mexico's stand that aligns with Trumps insistence that the migrants would be held in Mexico until their asylum claims can be evaluated. Held in squalid refugee camps, as it were.

The Washington post thought the most interesting story was how a reporter captured the image of a migrant mother and her two children fleeing tear gas.

Raw Story, predictably, made the news about Trump closing the border and causing chaos just as the holiday shopping season was hitting full stride. The migrant attempt to rush the border was called a "demonstration". Initially, Raw Story did not mention the use of tear gas until it was reported that Mexico wanted an investigation into it's use, and whether it was a strong or mild form of gas. Then, Raw Story reported that Fox news fans were freaked out because Geraldo Rivera stated he was "nauseated by images of the border patrol lobbing tear gas at women and children gathered at the point of entry in San Yasidro". Trump followers, enraged at Geraldo's sympathy for migrants, accused him of being soft on ILLEGAL immigration, and supporting the migrants only because they are Latino, like Geraldo.
