It looks like nothing has been posted since Dec. 21st. My guess is that the administrators are on vacation for the holidays. I wouldn't expect to see anything new before Monday at the earliest, since they almost never post on the weekends.
Be patient. More than likely, after the New Year there will be a mass posting. Just don't keep re-submitting your stories, it will push them to the end of the list. I know it says it is in "editing" after you submit, but it is actually just waiting.

 

I'm in the same boat XTALES, and I have been told they do look at the stories before putting them up on the board and it can take awhile to get to them. My guess is that took some time off over the holidays are will get to them next week.

 

The admin took this entire week off. I have a story that I sent to be published on 12/22 and it still sits. They should be back Jan 2....so just be patient. I urge you.

 

Hi all, I wonder if you can help me. I'm trying to track down a two-part story I once loved reading called School Holiday Relevation, it was about this girl called Linda who spent two weeks at her grandparents house near the sea. In those two weeks she had her cherry popped by her grandparents german shepherd, had sex with a neighbour's black pony, several teenage boys gang-banged her one night ... I could go on and on. The problem is that the story doesn't seem to exist here anymore, the reviews of some users can still be read, but the story is gone. If I look on google I can find part one on another forum site, but I can't seem to find part two anywhere. If anyone knows where I can find both parts or if you happened to copy/paste/save them, please let me know where I can read them or if you're willing to send them to me.

I am not all that imaginative actually... Pretty much all my stories are from personal experience. I have some good ideas, but getting them down on paper is a challenge most of the time. I tend to lost on tangents that range far and wide,,, How can I stop doing this?

Yes. And probably even fewer will comment on it.

 

My stories are still in edit mode from Saturday. What is the typical waiting period for it to be published?

 

Just don't keep re-submitting your story, it will push you to the end of the line. Submit, and then have patience, they are catching up.

Hello everyone, it's been a little while since I've posted anything on the threads, so I decided to post a fantasy story last night. But I've noticed that the moderators have let the site go to hell and fill up completely with trolls. It seems the story thread has become a thread to post spam and personals now. It's ridiculous to think we literally took the time and wrote something you're proud of and have to compete for space with someone with a hard-on. It's a shame. Thanks for listening.

I'm with Y. Black, I'm new to writing and posting and just don't understand how thousands can read a story and not rate it or rate it unfavorably and not offer some idea of what it was they didn't like about it. Diana's 30th Birthday Part 3 on the sex stories page is a good example. I get why part one wasn't highly rated (not a lot of sex) but part 2 scored better than 90 but part 3 is stuck in the 80's. I've thought about rewriting it, but I just don't know where I went wrong. Any constructive criticism would be appreciated.

@Y. Black and @JBL69632 There are people that writers on here call 'trolls'. They are hateful people who vote your story negative to keep it off the first page, or their friends ON the first page. I've compiled a list of several of these trolls and will happily share them with each of you. I don't want to tip my hand letting them know that I am on to them and their shady shit ways. Now, to stop their shady shit, go to your profile and click on 'People you ignore'. Type in the names with a comma after each one. Click on 'save changes'. Every time you post a new story, click on 'allow all comments' and 'deny anonymous voting'. What this does is tell you who voted for your story, positive or negative. I add everyone to my 'ignore' list that votes negative. Now, most of my stories stay in the 94-96% range. Stop the trolls, keep your scores higher........just a suggestion.

 

The trouble with identifying these alleged ne'er-do-wells is that it's very difficult to prove, and thus a lot of factors can look like red flags. I remember around the time I posted a new chapter this past summer, massive amounts of stories were getting downvoted and my new chapter survived the mass downvoting relatively unscathed. Subsequently, I was hit with a lot of accusations from seemingly random people about how low it was of me to 'downvote everyone else's story so mine stays at the top.' It's silly, but also understandable. If your hard-earned story gets downvoted to the point of no recovery to go back on the last 30 days list, and someone else's stays on, not only are you going to get jealous, but many people would naturally get suspicious. There's nothing I can do to help that. I don't want to ask for the list because I prefer to stay out of (no offense) petty matters like these, but I am curious if my name ended up on this list of Pablo's.

I've certainly seen accusations flying around. A few people that commented on my stories have gotten into squabbles over matters like these. Even knowing their names, often times the people themselves are irrelevant. The true measure of writing is the writing, which is why I love reading everything on this site I can. With my following, I know that even if I hypothetically get targeted, my stories will be okay in the long run, hence why I don't want to use the ignore trick. For a new writer trying to establish themselves, this can be devastating. That's one big reason why I'm very okay with blatant self-promotion on this subforum - if you're getting buried in other places, I want this place to be a safe haven to post and promote writing that deserves a chance with at least some of this site's community.

 

It's all part of the game of life. Don't want to over simplify it but haters are gonna hate. That's just what they do. For any new writers, I agree with Pablo. Don't allow anonymous votes. I try to read as much as I can and give the good stories positive reviews. The ones I don't like I just move on by.

 

If you want to become a better writer I urge you to read Game of Inches. It's on this site as one of the best rated stories of ALL-TIME. I've read it and it has improved my style of writing immensely.
