At least the European countries went into the 2 World Wars from the beginning; they didn't sit back like the States. And then, didn't you just make a great job of Korea, Vietnam and Afghanistan. So let's sort this out in writing. Assemble a team, as you are seemingly incapable of writing a story yourself, and let's see who can write the better story. You are all fart and noise but you don't seem to produce much other than Methane. Suggest a subject and let's both write a story about it. It is sad to see a person like yourself slump to petty trolling to get attention. If you would like to edit and be a editor of said story then go ahead I am sure no one would mind. But to come back time and time again to simply get enjoyment out of other forum users getting riled up is sad.
As far as the World Wars are concerned had it not been for the collection of countries as a whole in both wars working together it would of been good day. But then again by your postings, attitude, and "trolling" I find you to be rather unrefined. So I do kind lean laugh and say any good Scotsman would never be caught dead in a backwards country such as France.

 

So you are an expert on France, are you? As for "backwards", have you ever heard of TGV, Concorde, Exocet, Ariane, amongst other things? You are just another Wanking Yank who uses stereotypes because you don't know anything about the world outside your own little state.

 

I will give you the TGV and Ariane references but the Concorde was preceded by almost a 5 years by the XB-70 Valkyrie which premiered its shape before the Concorde or Tu-144 and lent its concept to the B-1 - the Valkyrie was cancelled by cost and other factors combining to make it less than optimal to pursue. The Tupolev also flew before the Concorde, exceeded mach 2 before the Concorde and proved to be just as expensive a boondogle as the Concorde. Not a glowing testimony to forward thinking. At least the wanking Yanks knew enough to get out of the business before they spent TOO much money on it.

Regarding the Exocet: have you ever heard of CIWS? There is only one reason that an Exocet hit the USS Stark in 1987: the CO did not have that ship on the proper alert status which would have pointed its ass towards the missile and activated the CIWS as well as other anti-missile defenses. The 20mm Gatling gun, controlled by a tracking computer (tracking both inbound and OUTbound trajectories) and targeting the missile would have prevented it from getting within 100 yards of the ship itself.

Apparently, you are just as little an expert on France as bigtrav20 and just as willing to prove yourself a bigot.

The only reason Concorde was built in small numbers was it wasn't produced by America. If it had been built by Boeing there would be hundreds of them still flying. Good story lines, well written by someone who has a good command of the English language and well formatted. I won't nit-pick as we all make mistakes with commas, me more than many others here, but this is really good writing. I would love to see you head deeper into more elaborate stories as I have not the slightest doubt that you can become a great writer.

Wow, I thought Wee Hector and I had buried the hatchet, so to speak. He just can't resist "Hectoring" me.

I've just sat back as I've been recovering from surgery and let him rant. The fact that I had three near death experiences from the surgery have mellowed me out from replying to his Trollness. For his info, I did have the last installment proof read and edited by another excellent writer here, whom shall remain unnamed. He still jumped on it.

I hope to post the next installment soon for those waiting. I've been busy recuperating and working on another story.
