Trump uncorks bonkers rant about ‘complex’ airplanes: ‘I don’t want Albert Einstein to be my pilot’

President Donald Trump fired off a pair of tweets attacking automated airline flights, apparently in response to the deadly crash of Ethiopian Airlines Flight 302.

The crash killed all 157 people on board a few minutes after taking off from Addis Ababa, and involved the same type of Boeing 737 Max jet as one that crashed five months ago in Indonesia, killing 189, that was blamed on the craft’s automated system.

“Airplanes are becoming far too complex to fly,” Trump tweeted Tuesday morning. “Pilots are no longer needed, but rather computer scientists from MIT. I see it all the time in many products. Always seeking to go one unnecessary step further, when often old and simpler is far better.”

“Split second decisions are needed,” the president added, “and the complexity creates danger. All of this for great cost yet very little gain. I don’t know about you, but I don’t want Albert Einstein to be my pilot. I want great flying professionals that are allowed to easily and quickly take control of a plane!”

The cause of Sunday’s crash has not yet been determined.

Its it's true they're trying to do away with Pilot skills . other problem is airline pilots don't make shit for pay . Thats why you can't get the best of the best anymore. if there's any job that should pay very very well its an airline pilot . They should be top of the pay scale But there not .

Ok now we have a problem. Since all Trump does is lie for the first time I might have to consider the possibility Melania does have a body double.

When up until now that suggestion has actually been just a joke that no one with any sense would believe. No news outlets I am aware have even mentioned it. And even The View called it a joke. But not that the mad king has denied it we must wonder if its not true.

The first lady’s spokeswoman slapped back at panelists on “The View,” who jokingly agreed one photo appeared to show Melania to be much shorter than usual, and with a different jawline, and Trump himself responded to the conspiracy theories Wednesday morning on Twitter.

“The Fake News photoshopped pictures of Melania, then propelled conspiracy theories that it’s actually not her by my side in Alabama and other places,” Trump tweeted. *“They are only getting more deranged with time!”

Trump refused to believe economic advisor when he told him there are more jobs in solar than in coal

Former Trump economic adviser Gary Cohn this week appeared on the official “Freakonomics” podcast to discuss his time in the White House, and he once again went out of his way to describe the president’s economic ignorance.

In particular, Cohn said he had trouble convincing the president on the virtues of solar power as the energy technology of the future — and he said that the president was unpersuaded by the fact that solar now employs more Americans than the coal industry.

“I remember vividly having a conversation with the president on coal jobs versus solar-panel installers,” he said. “We ended up putting tariffs on solar panels, which I didn’t understand either. And I did turn to him one day and I said, ‘Mr. President, how many coal miners do we have in the United States and how many solar-panel installers do we have?’ And I said, ‘I’m not here to trick you up — the answer’s — I’ll make it simple: less than 50,000 coal miners in the United States and more than 350,000 solar-panel installers.”

Cohn went on to explain that Trump’s love affair with coal had much more to do with the appeal to nostalgia in key swing states where coal mining communities have been hurt by the rise alternative sources of energy such as natural gas and renewables.

“He understood in West Virginia, and southern Ohio and Pennsylvania, you better go talk about coal,” he said. “And he understood in certain steel towns, when he looked at the empty steel mills, he should talk about bringing back steel jobs.”

President Donald Trump on Thursday issued a baffling and incoherent response when asked by a reporter whether he believed that his policy of separating immigrant parents from their children when they seek to enter the United States amounted to cruelty.

In response to the question, Trump initially denied that his policy was cruel, before he then acknowledged that his policies are hurting people.

“No, I don’t think they’re cruel, I think they’re the opposite of cruel,” he said. “They become cruel because they’re so ridiculous and it hurts people. It actually does the reverse of what they’re supposed to be doing. But no, they’re actually meant to be the opposite. And they’re hurting people, they’re really hurting people. A lot of people.”

The reporter tried to get a second question in, but Trump cut him off.

“I think we’re doing an incredible job,” he said. “We’re apprehending record numbers of people. But if we had border security and we had the wall, if we had a proper wall, which we’re building now as we speak, and we’re getting a lot more funding for it, as you know, with what we’re talking about with the vote today, whether it’s positive or not, I’m vetoing it, unless I don’t have to veto, I think that’s unlikely, I’ll do a veto, it’s not going to be overturned. But we have done a great job at the border through apprehension.”

Trump mindlessly tweets out link to anti-Muslim website shortly after New Zealand mosque shooting

President Donald Trump tweeted out a link to the anti-Muslim Breitbart News website shortly after news broke about a massacre at a New Zealand mosque.

The shooting, which left 49 people dead, was live-streamed on Facebook, and the gunman apparently posted a manifesto on the far-right-friendly 8chan forum and set up other social media accounts to promote the screed ahead of the massacre.

Late Thursday, after the shooting had been reported by U.S. media and presumably after the president would have been briefed, Trump tweeted out a link to the Breitbart homepage, where the lead story at that point was an article highlighting disgraced New York City police commissioner Bernard Kerik’s claims about special counsel Robert Mueller.

Trump’s tweet offered no commentary on the link to Breitbart’s homepage, which frequently features inflammatory content about Islam and Muslims, and the right-wing site soon changed its lead story to the Christchurch shooting.

President Donald Trump seemed to be searching for something to complain about on Twitter on Sunday morning and chose NBC’s Saturday Night Live — even though the late night comedy show was a rerun last night.

Starting off his morning after a Saturday attack on the late Sen. John McCain, Trump lashed out at the comedy sketch show, sayung it was unfunny and unfair to him..

‘It’s truly incredible that shows like Saturday Night Live, not funny/no talent, can spend all of their time knocking the same person (me), over & over, without so much of a mention of “the other side.” Like an advertisement without consequences.
