Trump shares fake poll numbers hyped by Lou Dobbs — the actual poll shows he has 42 percent approval

President Donald Trump on Thursday shared phony polling numbers hyped by Fox Business’s Lou Dobbs — but the actual poll they’re based on shows his numbers are much lower.

Dobbs this week cited a poll from Georgetown politics that he said showed Trump had a 55 percent approval rating.

However, it appears Dobbs has gotten his poll numbers totally mixed up, as the actual poll shows 55 percent of voters view Trump unfavorably, while just 40 percent have a favorable view. When it comes to job approval, 42 percent of voters approve of the job Trump is doing, while 52 percent disapprove.

What’s more, 48 percent of voters in the survey said they had a “strongly” unfavorable opinion of Trump, while just 27 percent said they had a “strongly” favorable opinion of him.

This is another thing that happens quite often under the thumb of the mad king. Earlier in the week a new scandal broke that Trump wanted to ship asylum seekers to "sanctuary cities" for revenge and also since he believes they are all criminals hoping for an increase in crime in those cities.

And right away there was several problems with that. The biggest of course is that would be illegal. Then its also something straight out of the third world dictator's book where a leader uses law enforcement and even the military to strike out against their rivals. And finally its another sign of Trump's mental illness where he lashes out but cannot grasp the consequences of his own actions.

But the other problem is this wasn't just leaked by someone in the White House. It was also confirmed by sources inside DHS. And someone provided documentation in the form of correspondence between the White House and DHS. So there was no way the White House could just deny it. And once again the Trump administration went into panic mode trying to spin it that it was discussed but not seriously, and didn't really involve Trump.

That was the cover story. So bring on the mad king.

Using asylum seekers as pawns, targeting political opponents with law enforcement resources, employing the immigration system for negotiating leverage — this all sounds like a massive abuse of power and a brewing major scandal. And indeed, when the Washington Post reported Thursday night that President Donald Trump’s administration had considered releasing detained immigrants in Democratic strongholds and sanctuary cities as some kind of ‘retribution,” it was widely regarded as an outrageous and ridiculous idea.

Even conservatives thought it would be unthinkable. CNN’s Steve Cortes thought it was so absurd, he wouldn’t even entertain the hypothetical that the report was true. David Harsanyi, an editor for the Federalist, suggested it was just a “stupid idea” brought up in a meeting that was never seriously considered. When the White House responded to the story, it said, “This was just a suggestion that was floated and rejected, which ended any further discussion.”

But then on Friday afternoon Trump undermined all that, his staffers’ downplaying of the idea, his conservative defenders’ dismissals, by saying yes, of course, he was seriously considering the idea:

It’s not often that a president openly admits that he is contemplating a blatant abuse of power. Unless that president is Donald Trump.

Tal Kopan, a correspondent for the San Francisco Chronicle, pointed out the absurdity of the idea, even from the president’s own perspective.

“I see,” she said. “To own the libs, the admin will use ICE’s budget that is supposedly nowhere near enough $ to at great expense bus or fly immigrants to cities that are often their preferred destination anyway and where the immigration courts are most lenient on them? Got it.”

So Trump has a problem; he's got this surge at the border, 100,000 people apprehended last month, thousands more on the way, families looking for a better life, and no way to house, feed, care for them. Can't split them up, can't keep them, can't turn them away.

So here's these "sanctuary" cities, who have flouted Federal law and basically said to the Feds, Fuck you, we will protect and do all we can to keep you fucks from deporting these humble, honest, people just looking for a better life.

So Trump says fine, here have a few thousands of them, you can feed them, and care for them and shelter them from the evil Federal goose stepping brown shirts.

At 7:30 p.m. in Washington, DC, Trump argued that The New York Times story reporting he was considering sending asylum seekers to sanctuary cities was “knowingly wrong on almost every fact.”

At 8:08 p.m. — thirty-eight minutes later — Trump threatened to do exactly what he’d just denied considering.

At 9:47 p.m. Trump again tweeted his threat.

‘Backseat fireman’ Trump brutally mocked for giving boneheaded advice on putting out Notre Dame blaze

President Donald Trump on Monday offered unsolicited advice for putting out the massive fire at Paris’s iconic Notre Dame cathedral — and he subsequently got buried in mockery.

Reacting to live video of the fire, Trump advised Parisian fire fighters that “perhaps flying water tankers could be used to put it out” and he exhorted them to work faster to get the situation under control.

“Must act quickly!” the president wrote.

Trump’s tweet quickly drew the ire of some followers — and one of them pointed out that launching high-pressure aerial water cannons onto an old wooden structure like Notre Dame could severely damage the building.

Trump says ‘to be honest’ the Notre Dame fire ‘puts a damper’ on fun presidential events

President Donald Trump on Monday complained that a devastating fire at Notre Dame cathedral had put a “damper” on the excitement at his presidential events.

Trump spoke about the Notre Dame blaze at the start of an economic forum in Minnesota.

*“Notre Dame cathedral is something like few people have witnessed,” Trump told the crowd. “When we left [Air Force One], it was, it was burning at a level that you rarely see a fire burn. It is one of the great treasures of the world.”

“Probably if you think about it, I would say, it might be greater than almost any museum in the world,” he continued. “Looks like it is burning to the ground. So, that put a damper what we’re about to say. To be honest.”

Trump also praised the cathedral for being “part of our culture.”

“That is a truly great cathedral. I’ve seen it. There is no cathedral I think I say, probably no cathedral in the world like it,” he said. “It is a terrible sight to behold. With that being said I want to tell you that a lot of progress has been made by our country in the last 2 1/2 years.”

Trump gets incinerated by French firefighting experts for his haphazard advice during Notre Dame fire

As Notre-Dame in Paris burned, US President Donald Trump tweeted some advice to French firefighters.

“Perhaps flying water tankers could be used to put it out. Must act quickly!”

But doing that would have brought the ancient cathedral crashing down, French fire chiefs told AFP Tuesday.

“Everything would have collapsed,” said Lieutenant-Colonel Michael Bernier, a fire chief who speaks for the national civil defence organisation and who described the suggestion as “risible”.

Releasing even one load from a Canadair water bomber used to fight forest fires on Notre-Dame would be “the equivalent of dropping three tonnes of concrete at 250 kilometres per hour (155mph)” on the ancient monument.

“It would have been like bowling with the cathedral… the two towers might have fallen.

“It was technically impossible, undoable and most of all would have been utterly useless” to douse the flames from the air, Bernier added.

In fact, dropping a 6,300-litre (1,664-gallon) load from a Canadair water bomber would have put the lives of firefighters and anyone in the area at risk, he added.

“Neighbouring buildings would have been hit by flying blocks of hot stone, and the whole area would have had to be evacuated.”

– ‘Might have tumbled’ –

With more than 500 firefighters already at the scene — many within the building — that would have been impossible.

Even using a helicopter to drop 1,500 litres of water would have left only the towers standing, Bernier insisted.

“The nave would have collapsed, the flying buttresses would have gone,” he said.

“If a plane had been used the whole of the structure might have tumbled.”

Lieutenant-Colonel Gabriel Plus of the Paris fire brigade said that “everything was against” the first firefighters who had to battle the French capital’s evening rush-hour to get to the scene on Monday.

“Time and the wind was against us and we had to get on top of it fast. We had to make a rapid choice… and the priority we gave ourselves was to save the two bell towers, and both were saved,” he added.

“Imagine if the woodwork in the belfries had been weakened, the huge bells would have collapsed” and that might have brought the towers down.

“That was really our fear,” said the senior officer, who acts as the fire brigade spokesman.

“From the beginning, there was always the possibility that the whole structure might collapse.”

While armchair critics have suggested more could have been done to slow the fire, tough choices had to be made, said Plus.

“With a part of the roof already in flames it was no longer saveable,” he said.

– Robot helps save nave –

“So we put our efforts into protecting the two belfries and getting our people into the interior to save the works of art inside.

“Once we saw that the spire would fall we got our people out and concentrated our efforts on the exterior,” he added.

Plus said a robot was sent into the building after the firefighters were evacuated to hose the interior of the building to “lower the temperature of the nave”.

Experts credited this with helping save the cathedral’s organ and its spectacular rose windows from the worst of the flames.

The fire chief said the next few days will be spent making sure the fire has been well and truly extinguished and that “the structure is stabilised”.

“We have teams with laser equipment who are checking the structure for movement. They will be checking the whole of Notre-Dame — from the towers and the vaulted ceiling to the walls to assess their fragility.”

This is just another one of your stupid lies shootersa. The Mueller report documents 147 instances of members of the Trump campaign in contact with Russians and Trump himself stood on national TV and solicited help from Russia. But what Mueller could not do is prove a conspiracy beyond reasonable doubt. Mainly because witnesses lied and destroyed evidence.

And now back to the beat. Because what is so laughable about this is there are multiple books and press reports saying that people in Trump's administration routinely ignore or disobey his orders. And the Mueller report confirms multiple instances of Trump ordering people to commit obstruction of justice and they simply refused to carry out his orders.

President Donald Trump on Monday insisted that no one in his administration disobeys his orders — despite the fact that multiple aides testified under oath that they routinely disobeyed or ignored his commands.

When asked by CNN’s Kaitlan Collins on Monday about documented instances in special counsel Robert Mueller’s report in which the president’s own officials did not carry out his directives, Trump simply replied, “Nobody disobeys my orders.”
