  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

    Best regards,

I really enjoy watching documentaries about some of the great structures that were built in the "early days" and how they were constructed with what we would today call "crude and basic" equipment, yet most still stand today and are architectural marvels. The Empire State Building, the Golden Gate Bridge, the Hoover Dam and on and on.

Am I alone or does anyone else have this interest as well and if so, what are some of your favorites ?

The Kremlin. Though I don't know much about its history, the buildings themselves took some doing to build, and to keep built.

I love watching documentaries about the construction of great structures, ships and machines from the past... The turn of the 20th century (1900) brought about some of the most interesting achievements man kind has ever witnessed and documented....

I must admit, when one walks past the Palace Of Westminster one can somehow 'feel' the history of the place. You are aware that you are passing the not only very building where Winston Churchill gave some of his most impassioned speeches, but also the site of the building where Oliver Cromwell dismissed Parliament with the infamous "In the name of God, go!" speech in 1653.

Being a Civil Engineer I have to agree with you. I am most intrigued by our vast highway system. Things like the Blue Ridge Parkway. Bridges and highway systems are what I do so I guess I'm partial to them.

Designed by the French structural engineer Michel Virlogeux and British architect Norman Foster, it is the tallest bridge in the world with one mast's summit at 343.0 metres (1,125 ft) above the base of the structure. It is the 15th highest bridge deck in the world, being 270 metres (890 ft) between the road deck and the ground below. The Millau Viaduct is part of the A75-A71 autoroute axis from Paris to Béziers and Montpellier. The cost of construction was approximately €400 million

It is beautiful to look at but looks like a nightmare to maintain.

I love both bridges and tunnels and having lived in Switzerland I saw my share of both.

The Panama Canal is another amazing feat and probably one of the most important of it's time to help get us to where we are today.

Canals are notoriously hard to construct and maintain. The Panama Canal is an engineering marvel. It has paid for itself a thousand times over.

You are probably right, crazy wasn't confined to one building back then lol but a skyline view makes this building look taller than theEmpire State building unless it's an aerial view.
