President Donald Trump exhibits a verbal tic that gives away some of his biggest whoppers.

The president tells demonstrable lies on a daily basis, but it’s a “flashing red light” that he’s lying when he recounts someone calling him “sir,” according to CNN fact-checker Daniel Dale.

“Trump has told false ‘sir’ stories on all manner of subjects: health care, the Middle East, the courts, unions and — just last week — both tariffs and social media,” Dale wrote. “But no genre of Trump story is more reliably sir-heavy than his collection of suspiciously similar tales about macho men breaking into tears of gratitude in his presence.”

Trump claimed he called off a military strike on Iran last month after a general told him about the expected casualties, but Dale said he was certain the president was lying about something when he included his giveaway “tell” in the recollection.

“We were cocked & loaded to retaliate last night on 3 different sights when I asked, how many will die,” Trump tweeted. “150 people, sir, was the answer from a General. 10 minutes before the strike I stopped it.”

Earlier this year, Trump described farmers and ranchers standing behind him in 2017 as he signed an executive order ending a water regulation, and he claimed half of them were crying.

“‘Sir, you gave me back my life,'” Trump recalled one particularly masculine man saying. “‘You gave me back my property.'”

However, that signing ceremony was recorded on video, which is still available on the White House YouTube channel, and doesn’t show anyone crying behind the president.

“I’ve been writing about Trump’s ‘sir’ fabrications for a year now,” Dale wrote. “As the Twitter mockery of these stories has increased, Trump has not slowed down one bit. He regaled audiences with tales about supposed ‘sir’ moments on consecutive days last week.”

Trump told a gathering of supportive social media personalities that other supporters have been prevented from following him on Twitter, but the company won’t allow them.

“‘Sir, we want to follow you,'” Trump claimed they say. “‘They don’t let us on.'”

Dale said his suspicions about Iran, which were raised by Trump’s “sir,” were proven right after CNN reported the president had been told about the casualty estimate well in advance of the strike.

Trump busted for lying about not having ‘talking points’ about Dem congresswomen

President Donald Trump furiously denied reporting that his aides had supplied him with “reams of opposition research” about four Democratic congresswomen.

The president has been lobbing racist attacks at the first-year lawmakers since last weekend, and the Washington Post reported that aides had supplied the background research to urge Trump to question their patriotism and political ideas, rather than calling on them to leave the country.

"The Amazon Washington Post front page story yesterday was total Fake News,” Trump tweeted Monday morning. “They said ‘Advisors wrote new talking points and handed him reams of opposition research on the four Congresswomen.'”

The president then accidentally mocked his public persona as a man who does not read, as he attempted to push back against the reports.

“Now really, does that sound like me?” he tweeted. “What advisors, there were no talking points, except for those stated by me, & ‘reams of paper’ were never given to me. It is a made up story meant to demean & belittle. The Post had no sources. The facts remain the same, that we have 4 Radical Left Congresswomen who have said very bad things about Israel & our Country!”

However, Washington Post reporter Aaron Blake, who was not part of the team that broke the news about the talking points, pointed out that Trump had been photographed holding the opposition research.

Trump smacked down by CNN with supercut of his lies about the ballooning federal debt

On Thursday, CNN’s Erin Burnett took President Donald Trump to task for once again stomping on one of his promises to the American people: His promise to pay down the national debt.

“The House passing a budget deal that will explode the national debt and deficit, and the president celebrating its passing tweeting ‘I’m pleased to announce the House has passed our budget deal,'” said Burnett. “And this is after threatening Republicans and telling them earlier today, quote, ‘House Republicans should support the TWO YEAR BUDGET AGREEMENT which greatly helps military and vets. I am totally with you!’ He told them it was important. They needed to get in line and get behind him.”

“But a lot of them didn’t,” said Burnett. “In fact, the majority, 132 Republicans, stood up and voted against their president. The bill suspends the debt limit, it adds 300 billion in spending, it ends all spending cuts, which means the national debt is going to continue to balloon. And Trump’s support for more spending and more debt wherever he can get it is breaking a big promise. A promise that he made to the American people again and again and again.”

Burnett then showed a montage of Trump’s promises to reduce or even eliminate the national debt.

“Where the economy grows, we will reduce our debt and reducing it bigly. We have to get rid of debt and balance our budget. With the $20 trillion in debt, can you imagine? The government must lean to tighten its belt,” said Trump in one clip.

“We have $21 trillion in debt. When in really kicks in, we’ll start paying off that debt like it’s water,” he said in another.

“One thing, we have a lot of debt. I want to get it out. I want to pay it off,” he said in a third.

In contrast to House Republicans, noted Burnett, “Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is on Team Trump. He says the agreement secures the most important priority of the Republican conference … And yet in 2011 when president Obama wanted to increase spending and borrowing, Senator McConnell was a man of principle. Here he is.”

“The president’s budget is the clearest sign yet he simply does not take our fiscal problems seriously,” said McConnell in the clip. “The real point is this. We’re broke. We’re broke. We don’t have the money. It’s not an American value to borrow from others to pay for programs we don’t need and can’t afford.”

‘More and more delusional’: Trump trashed after telling 9/11 first responders that he too went to Ground Zero

President Donald Trump on Monday got called out for making a “delusional” statement to a group of first responders during a signing ceremony to commemorate legislation that will permanently authorize the September 11th victim compensation fund.

During the ceremony, Trump claimed that he was at the site of the World Trade Center after the 9/11 attacks nearly 18 years ago assisting the police and fire fighters who were helping to rescue people.

“Many of those affected were fire fighters, police officers, and other first responders,” the president said. “And I was down there also, but I’m not considering myself a first responder, but I was down there, I spent a lot of time down there with you.”

There is no evidence that Trump helped search for survivors at Ground Zero, and retired New York City Fire Department Deputy Chief Richard Alles told Snopes last year that he never heard of a group of rescuers hired by Trump to help out. Additionally, Alles said that additional help from private responders was not necessary.

*Even if Trump had never done or said a racist thing in his life we know that is a lie because it is impossible for it to be true. And no way to even measure such a thing. So we know that is a lie and so is everything he said after that.

But when we combine that statement with the realities of these past few weeks most of it and writing and the rest on video we know those are not just simply lies. They are the delusions of a mentally ill president that is completely out of control.]
