I looked at the listings in my area. I generally see two classes of listings (in the women looking for men category).

The second class I tend to see are the people who look like they are on their last breath and if they get too excited it might kill them. They might be "crack-heads" that are desperate for drug money, or who really knows what, but they look like you could catch something just being in the same room as them. I realize that they probably aren't that bad, but they don't choose the most flattering images of themselves either.

Granted, not all CL people are like that, but of the 150 or so listings I have seen in my area, at least 140 of them seem fit into one of those two groups. If I look into the Men looking for Men or Trans looking for Men, the odds do seem to be a bit more legit.

Craigslist can be ok but be prepared for flakes and no shows. We've met a couple women thru craigslist and in the last year met another couple and 2 seperate guys.most of the time it's a crap shoot. Although we placed the ad and weeded thru responses. As for cops,assume only time you have to worry is if it's someone who is young or someone selling themself.
