She didn't have to say exactly what she had planed but once he said it was work related she should have sucked it up.
When you refuse a work related assignment it is registered in your file. Do it too often & you can be fired, also when you use them as a reference they WILL mention that you refused an assignment which could cost you that future job.

 

This is the husband. In hindsight I should have talk to her FIrst. She has dropped enough hints to have an idea what she has planned but not all of it. For work, I could refuse the assignment and will not be held against me, it cannot go in my file and I cannot be fired for it. It’s all based on the seniority deal. The senior people get it first, Junior get it last. I just wanted the money to pay for a trip for one of our kids. it’s not the we had to have it I just thought it would be easier this way. After reading through all of this this morning, she is right in one thing, I could put a stop to it but don’t. It’s fun to give somebody else the control.

 

Believe me it does go in your file, you just never see it.
No you won't get fired for it But if they are reviewing layoffs it might be a deciding factor then.

 

Nope. That’s with the union is for. And for layoffs it’s all about seniority. So I have nothing to worry there.

 

Ever work for a company where during layoffs higher-ups are gone? I did, in one fell swoop 2 VPs and quite a few senior positions were gone as a cost cutting endeavour. The Union did sweet dick all as it was pointed out more could be gone & the Union coffers would suffer and no it wasn't a merger or buyout.
Those who remained were grateful.

us kids were all adults, my younger brother moved back in to take care of the house.

 

He’s not under my thumb and I don’t want a sissy. He is a mans man in every since. This is something that he let me do and could stop it at any time. I could never force him to do anything. All I ever do is ask and he does it out of love. For the last 19.6 years he has basically dominated me in the bedroom. He’s tied me down many of times over the years and beautifully tortured me. Not with pain but keeping me on the edge and not letting me orgasm for hours. Once he finally lets me, I’m so wiped out I can’t function. He would then untie me and just lay there and hold me with out a care for himself. So now that the roles are switched, in the bedroom only, that I am the bad one? That doesn’t seam fare.

 

Neither is making his balls blue as a punishment for such a paltry reason, but there we go each to their own.

I normally do. This time I didn’t call her first. She likes to sleep in and I didn’t want to bother her. Hindsight 20/20 probably been a better idea to call first. So I would advise everybody not to follow my for steps.

 

Well, hopefully that lesson is learned and won't be repeated! I hope you'll both have a very nice Valentine's Day celebration whenever you decide to celebrate it!

 

The last bonehead move was 20 years ago for our first anniversary. That so far has been my worst. So if I keep this pattern every 20 years I’ll be good. LOL

 

Yeah well if you set that as the norm then I can see how she would expect you to behave accordingly. I very rarely ask is it ok to go make money. I'm the man, its my job to make sure we have all we need and a lot of what we want, so unless I'm going to be gone for months, I just say hey I gotta go to____ for____ I'll be back____.

 

That time I was only supposed to be gone for three weeks too but ended up being gone for three months. And I couldn’t get a flight for her to the country I was at. It would have taken two flights with a layover and we decided against that
