  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

You can always tell when President Trump did it right and the despicables know it.

The propaganda machine cranks up and we are treated to a bunch of "source familiar with the situation" generic, unspecific reports of how the President could, shoulda, woulda.

I used natureboy as a particular example deliberately because so much of the stuff he posts begin with
variations on the theme of "a source said"
I also struggle with stumbler's everlong cut n pasted missives.

You used the phrase propoganda machine and evidenced dismay at how things then just go down the same old route.
      I was agreeing with you

We don't have to like each other - we surely don't.
You seem to see only one side, have you no conception that your incredibly rude and patronising attitude
to folk on here is every bit as arrogant and personal as any of my tirades.
Actually condescension and dismissal is arguably the worst - it leaves people feeling "helpless"
Anger may be childish but at least it's straightforward.

For the record, some of what you have said on here earlier, with regards to governance and consent in general,
and particularly in a time of crisis, was in my humble opinion: wholly pertinent, interesting and insightful.

Again, your critique of Shooter is irrelevant.

      So are your fake compliments.

      It wasn't a compliment shooters.
I was trying to explain that endless hostility, of which you are (at the very least) as guilty as I, means that there is
little or no real discussion here.
It's just an echo chamber for vitriol.
I know that there might be views you would espouse that I understand, appreciate, or even - horror of horrors -
agree with. I'm adult enough to say so.
When I first came on here years ago the amount of poison, even then in GD, took me aback .
      It seems to have worsened.

You can always tell when President Trump did it wrong because he stands in front of the camera and tells the world what the did.

Explain to us how he did it right when he defunded the pandemic research and response teams that were situated in China and Africa?.

The PREDICT project funding was discontinued in September of last year, 2 months before covid-19 was first seen.

    Tell you what.
Rather than spend the next several days going through all the despicable propaganda and bullshit, Shooter would have you listen to this discussion between Maher and Crenshaw. They pretty much cover the whole despicable propaganda agenda about Trump fucking up. It's 14 minutes long, but well worth the time.

And the Predict program funding was set to end in 2019, and that date was picked 5 years before, in 2014 when the program was funded for its second 5 year run.
If Congress thought it was so important when they cut any of the new budgets, you know, from 2014 to 2020, they could have added in the funding, just as they did other programs that the Trump administration, for whatever reason, did not propose funding in their budget proposals.

You might recall, all budget bills start in the house. The President proposes, the house disposes, and the Senate votes. Then the President can either sign it or veto it or let it become law without his signature. Basic civics.

If you really think your hindsight is so powerfully right, you must also realize that Trump doesn't own this one by himself. Congress owns it as well.

Yes, I watched the vid, just another republican politician defending donnie.

Congress under the guidance of trump owns it.

Do you really have to ask why they didn't get another 5 year extension....really?????.

The Predict Project was started by Barry O in 2009, it then got it's second funding in 2014 under Barry O.

Are you starting to get the jist of where this is going????.

Everything that Barry O put into place has been trashed by your messiah .....everything.

So of course the project was going to be trashed.......hell, that's another $200,000,000 that can go towards the next slush fund for the 1% of elites, so the millionaires and billionaires can get another tax deduction.

Well, your propaganda spew pretty much ends any reasoned discussion we were going to have. My "Messiah" indeed.

Again; the President proposes a budget to the House of Representatives. The house puts together a budget and passes it. The senate votes on it. Assuming it passes both houses, it goes to the president to sign, veto, or let become law without his signature.

That's how it works. That's how its worked pretty much from the beginning.

The only time it can be said that that President "owns" the budget is if both houses of Congress have majorities in the same party as the President.

Since 2018 the House has been controlled by despicables (read Nancy Pelosi).

This means that any budget coming out of the house is NOT controlled by the president. Especially not now.
Speaker of the house "not one dime, not now, not ever" Pelosi controls it.

So you see, it matters not if President Trump wanted to kill the predict program because it was an Obama program, or because he wanted his cronies to get bigger tax breaks.

The president does not have final say on the budget or what is in it. The President can sign it, veto it, or let it be enacted without his signature.

The point is, if you must point at Trump for this failure, point also at the despicables and in particular Nancy Pelosi.

And by the way, the predict project has its origins in 2005, as a direct result of the Bird Flu epidemic. It was initially funded by college grants, then by the Federal Government. The Obama administration funded it in 2014 for 5 years, through 2019.

So it is incorrect to say that Trump "cut funding" for this program, especially to say that he cut funding for it two months before Covid-19 surfaced. What Trump did, was nothing. He did not fund the program, he let it run out.
    And so did Congress.

It's one of those "God blessum for the effort" situations. I used to research conservative defenses of Trump's actions and policies, and found the errors, misinterpretations, misquotes, and fabrications. I would show this to my conservative friend and expect them to delete their post. That's what liberal friends do when they discover they've posted something untrue. Conservatives never do. They'll defend it as "triggering snowflakes", which somehow ennobles repeating falsehoods.

It's just not worth the effort.

Shooter has previously noted that when triggered, rear admiral butt nugget can be counted on to copy n paste lengthy articles in reaction. He has done so here.

The despicable propaganda agenda item of "President Trump failed to act decisively early in this crisis and its killing us now" has been systematically dismantled by the facts.
    Despicables don't care.
    Get Trump is the point.

As evidenced by Joe Bidens criticisms, Pelosi's house actions and in particular, despicable spew since this started.

Trump could personally develop, produce, and distribute a cure for this thing and despicables would spin a reason to bitch about it.

You've gotten trigger happy, so there's no reason no reason to think you actually believe that. You might be saying that just to upset someone you don't know and will never meet.

If Trump were to "personally develop, produce, and distribute a cure for this thing," there would be great celebration by all, liberals included.

Trump has been judged for what he does, which is mostly quite poor. It's nothing personal. He's just another rich old white guy and US politics is full of them. Unfortunately, Trump is not going to personally develop, produce, and distribute a cure for this thing. He's not even capable of understanding the people who can do those things. It would be cool if Trump really was the conglomeration of Warren Buffet, Bill Gates, and Steve Jobs, the miracle working businessman who could bring a billionaire's common sense to government, who wouldn't like that? Imagine how much easier this pandemic would be if Trump had repealed Obamacare in 30 days and replaced it with better health insurance, which covered everybody at a lower premium. That would certainly have been better than having a President who discovered 30 days into his term, "No one knew health care was so complicated." Really? Somebody must have known.

It's too late in the game to complain the other side is not playing fair.
