AT 700 PM SNOW IS INTENSIFYING ACROSS THE GENESEE VALLEY AND FINGER
LAKES REGION. THIS SNOW WILL REDUCE VISIBILITIES TO HALF A MILE
OR LESS AT TIMES THIS EVENING...AND WITH ROADS BECOMING ICY AND
SNOW COVERED THE EVENING TRAVEL WILL BECOME MORE DIFFICULT.
MOTORISTS SHOULD ADJUST THEIR SPEEDS ACCORDINGLY TO THE ROAD
CONDITIONS...AND BE ON ALERT FOR AREAS WHERE ROADS QUICKLY
TRANSITION FROM WET TO ICY OR SNOW COVERED. MOTORIST SHOULD ALSO
GIVE PLENTY OF EXTRA TIME TO REACH THEIR DESTINATION THIS EVENING.

SNOWFALL RATES WILL INCREASE THROUGH THE EVENING HOURS WITH RATES UP
TO 1 INCH OF SNOW PER HOUR LATER THIS EVENING...AND UP TO 2 INCHES
DURING PEAK INTENSITY OVERNIGHT.

TEMPERATURES WILL SLOWLY WARM ACROSS THE REGION THIS EVENING WITH
TEMPERATURES AVERAGING BETWEEN 22 AND 28 AT 700 PM AND RISE TO 26
TO 32 BY 11 PM. WINDS THIS EVENING WILL AVERAGE 10 TO 20 MPH FROM
THE NORTHWEST WITH GUSTS UP TO 35 MPH.

THE SNOW IS EXPECTED TO TAPER OFF BY DAYBREAK FRIDAY.

 

The Angel of Destruction Passed Over

This morning we were concerned about the tsunami that was caused by the Chile but it passed us by. For this we are thankful.

Tonight is 48 and cloudy but had some sun today which was a bonus.

 

While it's somewhat hypnotic and makes me feel like I'm in a snowglobe and it does make the trees pretty with flocking, IT'S SNOWING AGAIN!!!! I woke up to it SNOWING hard and fast!! I'd rather have something else hard and fast, NOTmore snow!!!

 

Showers 45 F. Nothing new. Old mother Earth had the warmest January on record. I used less than half the electricity this winter than last.

 

SUNNY SUNNY SUNNY!!!! Most of the snow has melted away (except the patches in the shade). And I saw my first robins today so spring shouldn't be too far off. It can't be here too soon for me!!! :excited:

 

Was partly sunny during the day. Tonight partly cloudy and 45 F. We seem stuck at that temp.

 

Showers but our over achieving plants love the weather and are putting on quite the display. This year everything seems to be in bloom all at the same time instead of spread out. The pink flowering trees are in their fully glory this weekend and next to fall colors they are my very favorite. Daffies, Magnolias, Forsythia, and Azaleas are coming on strong too.

We are forecasted to have sun and 68F today, spring has sprung.

 

I live in Ketchikan, AK. USA and it's snowing right now. I expected it, b.c. we get at least two snow storms a winter, and the weather has been really nice up until yesterday. Temp's about 30F. and the wind is var. 5mph.

Absolutely beautiful today!!! Sunny and warm, didn't even need a jacket.

 

Today was a fine Spring mix. It was sunny, cloudy, rain, ice pellets, windy, cooled off all day long and tomorrow is more of the same plus snow flurries. You gotta love Spring. If you don't like the weather just wait a few minutes. Currently 35 F and clear.
