I have done it many times with different partners. As noted before, a shower and fresh tampon are necessary.

Menses has no objectionable odor until exposed to the air.

I find the unique taste to be an additional turn on for me during oral.

I also felt the normal vaginal fluids to be thinner and less lubricating. This can either inhance or reduce pleasure, depending on what trips your trigger.

For me, less slippery was a slight reduction in pleasure.

It is difficult to improve on what nature provides to make sure that the species survives.
