You do realize that the rules of succession for the office of president are only for use in an emergency situation. If any vice president is removed from office, the president can nominate his replacement. So if Harris gets removed, Pelosi does not automatically become vp.

When Spiro Agnew was removed from office, Nixon nominated Gerald Ford. If the rules of succession did have effect, Carl Albert would have become vp... That would have been awkward, as Albert was a democrat.

Wow, another that doesn't know or understand the line of succession. First of all the minority leader doesn't fall within the line of succession in the slightest. Second of all the line of succession is only used under emergency situations such as the president being killed or the vice president being killed under extreme circumstances. Three, on the other hand, when vice presidential office is vacated for any other reason, the President appoints someone and that person does not have to be in the line of succession.
