So the answer is yes if we are talking about my first real love (not just lust). She moved and I dated a lot of others during that year but she was special. We were too young but under different circumstances, I have always thought she could have been my wife. Once she moved dating became a sport and it took 3 years until I met someone who was more than just a fling to me. During my life there were only 3 women that were possible candidates to be my wife. Would it have worked out with the first one? Would we have married young if her family didn't move? We will never know. Who knows if our current selves would get along?

 

I did marry the girl I was dating when we were 16. Met at 16, moved in right after high school, married at 23ish, still married with 2 kids at 40 and would absolutely do it again. Honestly I think it was easier for us than people that met later in life. When you meet someone at say 30 their lifestyle is established, amd they have their own life, goals, career ect. We did all that together and grew and changed together. Some people have looked at us like we are crazy when w etell them we met that young but I absolutely cringe/want to barf picturing myself in today’s online dating and trying to find a long term partner as an adult.

I don't think I would. We dated for quite a while back then, even going steady back in the day. We grew apart after a while because we had different ideas about life. I'm not sure we'd be compatible today.

 

She is on her third marriage and even though we were truly in love I don't think it would have worked out.

I did marry the girl I dated at age 16. She had sex with me (between my Puritan upbringing, the general 'tightness' of that time, and my novice experience) thought I was then obliged to marry her. Been thinking about this all morning since I saw the post.

That's a hard one. Funny how 30 years change a person. She is now a hippie lesbian in the southwest, so I will say she wouldn't be interested in marriage.

I was into sports, and so was she. I will never forget that sexy tomboy look she had.

She was actually what I needed when I was 16. I was in a bad spot. My dad died, and I was getting ready to move out because of drama at home.

She opened my eyes and and anus to new and exciting things. She asked me if she could take my cherry, and apparently I was down. In return she was also very open to inviting other girls to join us. She was the first sexually free person I ever met. Always pushing the limits. She gave me my first 5-some. I spent the weekend fucking her and three of her friends. I couldn't walk for a week.

 

At 16 I had a lot going on. After growing up painfully isolated and nerdy, my parents split, I moved to another city with one of my parents and did the ugly duckling/swan thing. I was never happier and dated quite a bit. My mom was catastrophically injured during that time, so I was also very busy with home responsibilities. I didn't want drama or seriousness in my dating, I only wanted fun.

Thinking about the people I dated then, I can say I don't regret any of them, but really can't say that I would marry any of them. There have been two men I'd have married in a heartbeat and they both turned out to be terrible for me, so I am super careful of the idea of marriage. If/when I do it, it'll be for life. I'll know him when I see him.
