Marriage does not mean giving up your individual social lives, people need to maintain their own identities. If you can't handle her being who she is, then the marriage isn't going to work. If it's constant and it really bothers you (obviously it does), you need to at the very least talk to her about how you feel, not only about her social life, but about the other problems you two have...you wanting children, her lying, etc. But don't (and you shouldn't) expect her to give up everything just to make you happy.

I remember going to a concert by a band called Pelican - relatively new post-rock/post-metal sorta stuff.

The guy headbanging next to me probably had adult children, and quite probably grandkids. He was tattooed to fuck, and didn't look outta place at all.

 

Mine too. My husband has his football klatch, his poker nights, lots of other diversions. I give him his space, he gives me mine.

Seriously, poeple need their own space AND they need honesty in order to have a real relationship. My advice is...get counceling. That way, even if it goes into the crapper, you'll know that YOU tried. If she won;t go.....you already have your answer.

Have you sat down and tried to have a talk with her? A talk, not you telling her what you feel is right and not. Have you tried to come to an agreement with her about how often she should be doing that? she has the right to go see concerts, you can't control her and tell her what she can and can't do because you guys are married, it doesn't work like that. If she doesn't respect agreements i understand, but you should try a conversation.

 

if she was a groupie when you met her, it's not up to you to decide when she should stop. i hate men that think that just because you're "his" that they own you. no, she shouldn't be cheating on you, and if you wanted kids maybe marrying a groupie wasn't the smartest choice, eh?

 

Thank you for all the help I will say she was not a groupie when I married her this just started about 3 years ago. Now she travels around state to state staying with who ever. I don't know if she is sleeping with them but I do know she not with me. I not trying to control her I NEVER said she couldn't go but to go and not hear from her for days is not right for someone married man or woman! She makes sure that I stay home and now she lies about where she is thats not cool she changed into a groupie I shouldn't just have to be ok with
