I have to wonder just how well Netflix is doing financially. I did find a good movie to watch there today, but it still takes forever to load, and if you want to back up for something you missed, you still get that 'spinning, buffering' circle for way too long.

They have lost a fucking ton of subscribers, and part of it is the quality of content (which is sparse for me), but literally EVERY other streaming service is faster. What the fuck are the dimwits in their corporate office thinking?

A few years ago my I saw my oldest nephew after not seeing him for a long time. He was wearing his biker gear and had a swastika pin on his vest. I asked him why he had it, and his response was that it was a very expensive piece of history. I literally growled at him. What I SHOULD have said was, "Yes, it cost a lot of people their lives." I guess growling was a good 2nd.

He unfriended me on Facebook (not before I saw a bunch of ish about Odin) and it was the last time we spoke/made animal sounds at each other.

Blood may be thicker than water, but I'd rather not be around poisoned H2O. I hope someday he changes.

I've seen some linger for hours, maybe a day.....
First time I've seen it done within minutes....

It's really slowed down here on the forum. Page 1 of GD still has threads from Friday. Didn't used to be like that.

 

Photo albums here are supposed to hold up to 300 pics, but I just maxed mine out at 297. Who knew that 297 equals 300 lol

Regarding the unions wanting Amazon warehouse employees to get more pay, I can't help thinking that, if Amazon feels like their hand was FORCED to pay more, that they would subsequently make the jobs a LOT more stressful. Like constant fear of being axed, hold-in-your-piss-and-keep-working stressful. You betta JUSTIFY your continued employment. Would be more layoffs. Maybe not even worth it.

Honestly, though, the current pay is only enough to get by on because I'm living with family, and we all chip in for everything.

I saw the word “Catholic” today and I read it as “Cataholic” and I thought it meant an alcoholic cat. But then I thought it meant someone addicted to cats. And then I realized it actually meant the religion and I was disappointed lol.

It’s funny how we have clothes, sheets, towels, blankets, etc ….but when it’s time to wash them, we call them “laundry.”
