Stupidest thing I've done... ex-wife, ex-girlfriend, kids, voting for morons, listening to bad advice - nope, not trusting my gut instinct. Go with it! It's either Right, or gas. Either way you'll feel better.

 

The list is long.. like when I joined a dating site when I was 19. Talked with a guy, he was coming into town because work. He suggested I go over to his hotel just to meet, he was sharing the room with his coworker. I stupidly said I would, but I did tell him I'd have to be home in a few hours to take care of the dog, told him we wouldn't be having sex under any circumstances. The whole time I was there he was bitching to his coworker about his ex and how she wouldn't let him see his kid and kept calling her all kinds of names. Then his coworker goes, "K I'm gonna go shower now, I'll take an extra long time just in case you two wanna..." I told him that wouldn't be necessary, that I actually had to go, the dog would expect his dinner soon. Went home, showered, then texted my cousin to tell her about the awful time I had. She tore me a new one for not telling her before I went.

Did I learn from that? Kinda. Did I do something similar anyway? Yes. Different guy same site, he lived across town by my aunt, pulled the classic, "Well you could come over just to cuddle." Because I was on my period. I grabbed my overnight bag and went. He knew about some of the kinky stuff I was into so things led to him choking me in a way I still fantasize about and me giving him a blowjob. He finished in my mouth, then handed me his powerade to get the taste out of my mouth. His dad came home right after, he said he was going to go make something to eat quick and talk to him, I ended up falling asleep waiting well over an hour... He ended up ghosting me after that and I'm still upset about it to this day.

Very, very stupid on both accounts.

 

Gee, I cannot narrow them down. Can we categorize? Like stupid with money, relationship, physical danger, crime, etc? Lets see. I told a lot of stories in college about the pranks we pulled as teens. Then a college friend comes to visit, and wants to see the very tall auditorium I used to talk about climbing and throwing eggs and water balloons from. But I learned to DRINK in college, so NOW I am climbing this building up the fire escapes and outside ladders, with a crate full of water balloons and eggs, AND DRUNK AS HELL. And for kickers, climb up on the roof top ledge to circumnavigate the building the most dangerous way, drunk as a skunk. Drove my motorcycle over 100MPH while drunk. Drove my sportscar, stone cold sober, well over 140mph on poorly paved rural highway(made it from Fresno to Coalinga in 33 minutes). Almost NEVER wore a condom. Spent $500 to join a "buying club" I never bought anything from. Oh the list is too long to even scratch and who knows which was stupidest, God got me through them all.

Getting married when I did in the 70s knowing I didn't want to get married and she wasn't the one I wanted. Both to inmature to get married.

 

I spent $50,000 on a degree that I have never and will never use...And I even paid back my student loans as well!

Listened to and trusted my doctors .

 

Begged exes to stay hoping things will work out was the dumbest thing I've ever done.

There's a smart way?

 

Another stupid thing I did one day is I got careless and didn't lock my bedroom door and I got caught jerking off by my mother

 

Getting careless by not locking my door and getting caught by my mother while jacking off and I just couldn't stop until I reached the point of no return

 

I didn’t follow up on getting that 69 Super Bee. It would have been a great investment for $600.00.

 

I've done more than a few stupid things in my time, but the one that sticks out most was at work many years ago now, we were renovating an old people's home, I had to use the disc cutter inside one of the rooms, but first needed to fill it up with petrol, in doing so, I spilt some on the floor, a pool about 9" across, I stared at it, and don't ask me why! I suddenly felt the need to set light to it!
I learnt a valuable lesson that day, I learnt just how dangerous petrol was!!!
I lit it with my lighter and flared up much more than I'd expected, I panicked and stupidly stamped on it, then I had several smaller fires going on, one of the flaming balls of petrol went straight into the open petrol can, and I shit you not, a huge jet of flame shot out of the can and set my hair on fire, I had dreads at the time, and lost a few!!! Eventually I got it under control, luckily for me, the room was bare walls and floor!
