First off, I want to say to everyone that has or is going through this situation that you have my empathy, and if I could do something to help I would.
I'm the luckiest fucker to ever live in many ways when it came to my wife that I met in high school, at 16 years old. I could write a book as to why she was the greatest but simply put, she and I were about as identical as possible when it came to all areas of sex, intimacy, and expressing our feelings for each other.

The only time we didn't have sex for any extended period of time was during the later months of her pregnancy with our 3 girls...the younger 2 was practically her entire pregnancy. Our oldest caused so many complications that she had to spend the entire 3rd trimester in the hospital to ensure both her and baby were safe. I was 22 years old during this time, and busting my ass off for my new family...I was constantly in a state of dread that I could lose one or both of them. It was brutal, and absolutely nerve rattling. Overjoyed when the doc wheeled out my baby girl, and wife was fine...but it shook me so hard that I was too afraid to have vaginal sex with her during the other 2 pregnancies.

I was spoiled, and it's hard for me to imagine our relationship where in I would have to deal with wanting sex, not getting it, and not understanding why! All I can say is that something has clearly not been discussed all the way through between your wife/partner for one reason or another. Hopefully she/he would use full disclosure as to why it's happening, but even that is not certain...A hard line to tow.

To all those that are walking this path, hollow as they may be...try to hang in there and express to your partner in every way you can think of to remedy the situation. Good luck

So, my Dad was a licensed marriage and family counselor in California. Sometime around 1990 during one of our many random conversations at his office after work he asked me, "What is up with your generation? AND healthy, the science says that intimacy keeps a man healthier, physically, mentally and emotionally. AND you will live longer! And she does it JOYFULLY and MAKES ME when I am tired. I don't understand what is happening and why couples don't understand, you do FOR the other person, not for yourself, and taking sex from marriage because you aren't INTERESTED is violating the marriage contract.!" I told him I thought it was a fucked up concept from feminism that had been hijacked by man hating lesbians.
30 years later I go through the exact same thing with my wife. And even though she LOVED my Dad, she refused to listen to that just like she refused to listen to her OB/GYN who gave the exact same "date night" advice. Eventually we divorced and it was entirely about sex.

Your spouse has no right to refuse to talk about and seek solutions when they take intimacy out of the marriage. They are the cheater. I applaud you who can stand it. I would rather be alone than be with a woman who claims to be my wife and completely disregards me.
