Okay, swallowing my pride, I've gotta ask about this. I've been noticing that when my penis is erect, I have small bumps around the base of my penis (I wasn't freaked until I was able to pop one, almost like a pimple). Now, I've never had any kind of intercourse with anyone except my hand. Is this a sign? now that i've asked, i kinda feel pathetic....and wonder if i was born near a nuclear power plant....

 

Could be a from a "rough time" with your hand, or it's possible that your

underwear bothers the skin..

It's also possible you could have something as simple as heat rash..

I think I've seen other men discuss these 'bumps' ... try doing a search in the sexuality forum for 'bumps' ... hopefully that will ease your fears until you get them checked by a doctor.

I'd be willing to wager they're nothing to worry about.

 

Well it could just be pimples believe it or not you can actually get them there.

I myself have had white heads on the bottom of mine.

 

But if it hurts to have sex? Try your hand at seeing a doctor. What's the worse that could happen? Well he could chop your balls off XD

 

If they're like little white spots, then they can also appear inside your nose and around the eyes. And in other places too.

Just FYI, you can check out calcium deposits on google too. Most likely thats what it is... They are exactly as you describe (almost white heads, but not poppable.. hard little pebbles right under the skin). dont pop them, that causes scaring. they are harmless. You get more of them around the same area (and other areas) with age, but usually nothing gets out of control, Always check with yer doc the next time you visit. quick visual check will confirm.

Sounds to me like fordyce spots, i think that is how it is spelt, i had the same problem. But after doing some internet searching and working up the balls (no pun intended) to visit the doc he confirmed it. Theres a page on wikipedia sorry about not having the link.

They are harmless and the majority of the male population as them. But i would recomment a visit to the doctor just to make sure.

These spots occur so often in men and women that they are considered normal and can have a stimulating effect during intercourse. Some condoms incorporate these bumps into their design with sales slogans......"textured for her pleasure". If you've got em, use the sale pitch!

 

It's almost funny i am the first to say this, but if it's what i think it is, and you wait long enough a hair will eventually grow out of it (not trying to be sarcastic or anything) . If i am correct what you popped out of it is the root. Compare it to a pube on the base or scrotum (sounds funny using the technical term) as they would look the same due to how thin the skin is at that location. They are more noticeable when you have a hard-on because the skin is more taunt.
