    I think it's a little confusing to mistake diameter with circumference. It seems to me that diameter is a better reference. It's also easier to measure with a simple ruler.
    Circumference is the distance around, while diameter is the distance through.
    Multiply the diameter by 3.1415 or phi, to get the circumference, or divide circumference by 3.1415 to get the diameter.
    A penis 6 inches in circumference would be 1.9 inches wide or diameter.

    Way harder to determine actual diameter, mostly because you would have to cut your dick off to get a real measurement. Circumference is really easy, just wrap a string around your cock, mark where it overlaps, take the string off and measure the distance between the two marks. Easy as pie:D
