Labeling someone a "slut" says absolutly nothing about that person......Yet says much about the person saying it, as they are judging. If you read all my statements in the thread, then you'd see as I pointed out, no matter what platform of right and wrong "you" or any other wish to preach from on, there is always another who can take your very words and label "you" the sinner or in this case "slut".

In the end, the only one that has proven themselves worthy of a label is that one making the judgements.....Unjustifiably pompas, and foolish at best as they have only stated what criteria "they" use to try and place themselves above another.........and that places them very low.

To me this term is at least a little derogatory(unlike "libertine"). Promiscuous is a good synonym. I saw this local documentary that followed the lives of women that were labelled as "sluts" in high school. This affected them to a negative degree for the rest of their lives(many of them). They told the producers that `they gave up fighting the label'.
They were not given any real chance(by their accounts) to become `respectable', because their `fate was sealed'. The doc is called "sluts" I forget the creator's name at the moment. Intelligent, revealing and funny film.

This is so true ... I left my life behind me 17 years ago when I got with my man and my reputation still haunts me when I go 'home'. Honestly, I find it quite humorous as I find that people are so interested in my sex life and what it use to be and then attempting to better themselves using my 'sluttiness' to their benefit as the deed is 'dirty'. No you're not a slut if you have sex on a first date and you're not a slut if you suck a guy off on a first date. If you suck a guy off in any of the above situation then you're probably a slut...tough call...
