  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

    Best regards,

I guess I was stupid to pretend that I didn't like some music when I was with my peers. I played in a working rock and roll band through high school. I was naturally talented, played in clubs, bars, and all the high school dances. My band and I played stuff like Zep, Aerosmith, Black Sabath, Queen, Foghat, Rush, Kiss, and many more. We all had long hair, very popular and had an image to uphold. Secretly, I was a closet junky for country, bluegrass, folk, and even listened to some old 45's of stuff like Dean Martin that my parents had. I ended up flunking music 4 yrs. in a row in high school, but the one thing I did learn from my instructor is when he told me I was a passive listener. That was when he was trying to teach me the notes to Eclair De Loone, and I told him it was to corny for me.
Since then, I have played in heavy metal, rock, country, blues, and top 40's bands. I also played solo gigs, and duets, playing folk, country, and southern rock.
At the present time, I have a make shift studio in my garage, and I am also currently recording in a pro studio with a heavy metal band. In my garage, I have thousands of songs downloaded on my computer that is also connected to all of my amps, PA system, keyboard, mic's, and a bunch of other stuff. I record whatever I'm in the mood for. I also play a lot of classical music now.
It's just a hobby, but I can freak people out when I can play an old Hank Sr. song, and pick up another guitar and play some Ozzie or Three Days Grace.

The thing is: Now is different. I don't pretend or hide anything. If I didn't pretend to not like the music I liked back then. I could have influenced a
lot of other people to start more fads on the type of music they really liked. I could have maybe influenced my music instructor who flunked me 4 yrs. in a row. I'm still pissed about that lol. It must have been the long hair.

Thanks for raping my ears, Pericles.

Backstreet Boys. I pretended to not like pop, but it's incredibly catchy.

What a great idea for a thread!
Village People songs, and 98% of disco.
Today, I get a kick out of the former, and confess to liking a few disco songs, such as: Rock the Boat, Rapper's Delight, Lady Marmelad, The Hustle, and a few others.

oops, I have been here before lol

I remember back to before many of you were born, my parents so hated The Beatles. We had to pretend to hate them, but of course snuck out and bought the 45's and listened to them when we were alone.

I never 'pretended' to hate OR like a song. As a teenager, everyone knew I liked all kinds of music, and although some people thought I was strange for liking Joni Mitchell AND Black Sabbath, that was THEIR problem----not mine.
