I agree here, the people of the US are good people, and the countries landscape is beautiful, it's the GOV, and the Media that leave little to desire,

But as far as the actual country goes today I think I'd have the choice of going down to the shopping mall and watch beautiful women roam in herds, or I could also take off walking out my front door and in less that two hours of walking time be on top of a 12,000' mountain all by myself and feeling like I owned the world.

 

This is a difficult question because everyone has his/her own preferences about people, culture, landscape, etc. I've been to several countries:

Germany
Kuwait
Saudi Arabia
England
Scotland
France
Italy
Turkey
United States

There are things I like about all of them and things I don't like about all of them. I currently live in England but I like Scotland a lot more because I like the scenery up there.

England is generally safer than the U.S. because it's illegal to own handguns here. England reminds me of how the U.S. was 30 years ago (at least where I lived in the U.S.).

Italy was absolutely beautiful! I visited the North-East part around Venice. BTW, Venice is awesome. I highly recommend it.

Germany and France are nice, too, if you can learn the languages. Not everyone speaks English and, contrary to popular belief, speaking English loudly and slowly does not make everyone understand it!

But, the U.S. is home and there's no place like home.

 

Ah, oui monsieur. J'ai regrete pas parle francais beaucoup J'ai desire parle francais tres bon! I hope once I'm an officer I can be stationed in France or Germany for my language stuff. It's gonna be cool!

In all seriousness, I've never had the opportunity to go to another country, so I don't have much I can compare the lovely Eureka! State of California to.

If I had to go by what I know (being totally uninformed and ignorant), I'd go with Australia so I could live among the beautiful, blonde race of surfers that inhabit that mystical island.

 

Every country has so many political issues, even the ones that top my list, so I'll pick one for it's beuty. I would love to live in Italy, it is kinda in shallow some of the urban centers, but it is extremely beutiful no matter where you go.

 

Scotland its cold wet windy all year round but we do have our good points we have friendliest people in the uk and have best accents in the world

 

No matter where I would go I would have to have alot of open space. Unlike some people I do not feel the need to herd.

 

You've not been to ireland recently. The religion ain't so bad anymore.
I'm irish myself. If i had to pick somewhere else, I'd prob pick Wales.
Or spain for sunny weather

 

Greek islands...Always sunny (well...almost always!), full of clean beaches (again almost full of) etc etc

wow lots of germans here.... i really like living in germany, the people are nice, the girls are cute, and i'll stay away from politics for now i suppose. i'd also like canada, it's pretty much america without the violence and bullshit, and with healthcare. granted it's slightly colder than california .... i liked living in california, but then bush screwed it all up for me. the internet gambling ban was just about the worst law ever made....

 

The UK - beacause I am here... an up to date country - not that bad reallly, weather is a bit poor.
