i dont think age really matters,but this is coming from a guy who can still date 15 year olds with only a four year difference.

Speaking as an oldster (44) I don't think age matters that much (That's what ALL old people say ) and like others have said it would be a maturity thing for me. Wifey is only a few years younger than me so I've never really had to test out my opinion.

Absolutely! Age does matter. But it's not the physical age but rather the maturity level of each and mental compatability they share. I've said it before, I prefer the older man as he is much more mature and we tend to be on the same level. My hubbie was nearly 20 years older than me.

My parents are 23 years apart. Mom/67 & Dad/90 (he was 51 when I was born). It didn't matter to them ever, not even today as my mother deals with his health issues.

My husband is 11 years older than me, we've been together 20 years and it hasn't ever been an issue. I'll come back here in another 20 years and you let you know if I still feel the same, I'm not sure I'll have the patience that my mother has.

I'm 18 and used to be dating a 45 year old.
He asked me to marry him, and honestly I could have made it work, and been very happy.
But he wasn't the right person for me, so yeah. To me, age doesn't matter.

Edit: Will also say he acts a long younger than he is, and I'm extremely mature for my age..

I know a lady that is 45 and and was married to a man 30 years older. She had to be a nurse to him at the end of his life too. During this period, she used to flirt with younger men allot. But, after he died, she got a boyfriend her own age and will be marrying him soon.

Age matters, but, if you overlook it, then it doesn't...

I have had partners from +8 to -42, age never mattered. In fact I have more stamina than my 42 yrs younger partner. Granted that we each some things that the other is not interested in, but there are many we share, and the important thing is that we care for each other.
