you say you wouldn't "whipe" your ass with one of Malevolent Creation's songs, but based on your screen name you must be a fan of Children of Bodom..I had to look them up because I wouldn't ever listen to them personally--I've heard their name come out of the mouths of too many trendies to think that they might be something I'd enjoy! I listen to only the most brutal death metal, grindcore or thrash bands and not "melodic" bands that look like girls in their promo pictures..One of the dudes in Children of Bodom looks so feminine that I would be afraid to get drunk around him for fear I might lose my senses and try to pick him up, thinking he was really a chick!

anyway, Wikipedia describes them as being a cross between power metal and melodic death metal..These are two of the absolute gayest musical genres in existence..As for Power Metal, it was done much better 25 years ago by bands like Exciter and Manowar...These guys today are mere upstarts looking to cash in on a current trend..Only girly European metal kids buy these albums..(and dudes like you, apparently)

and "melodic" death metal is a contradiction in terms..Death metal isn't supposed to be melodic..It's supposed to be brutal..Instead of melody it should be full of dissonance and rawness

Pay attention and you might learn something..If you wanna be a metal fan, here are some godly bands to listen to..Except you're most likely too much of a trendy to actually make the effort to find their stuff, since your CD buying is probably limited to the local Coconuts store or the free CD's they enclose in bullshit fake magazines like Metal Maniacs or Terrorizer..but anyway, here goes:

Autopsy, Abscess, early Bolt Thrower, Carnage, Destruction, Diabolic, Incantation, Immolation, Demilich, Warbringer, Merciless Death, early Morbid Angel, Exhumed, Impetigo, Sinister, Nyctophobic, early Sodom, Sadistic Intent, Unholy Ghost, Blastmasters and the first 2 Possessed LP's
