How long (how many words, or how many pages) do you prefer for an erotic story? Will you read a longer story that is broken up into chapters? Do you like a longer story or do you prefer a quick read?

 

Personally, I don't mind long or short. Of course, alot depends on your definition of long and short! If you think it's going to be long, then definitely break it up into chapters; that makes it easier both for you to write (I would presume) and us to read (for me, it's easier to read 10 mins. at a time than 30 min).

Personally, my time here at the forum is limited so I enjoy being able to read short stories plus browse through some of the pic threads. But lately I've been enjoying the thread "Ashley; My Sinking Into Depravity" which is a long story and is still going; it's over 25 chapters at this time. Each chapter is essentially a short story in itself which makes it easier to come back to daily and just read one chapter each day.

But that's just my opinion; I'm sure others will have a different opinion. Basically, if it catches my eye, I'll find time to read it, whether it's long or short! :excited:

 

have to say longer stories (1 - 3 pages), if and only if a longer story meant higher literary quality and not repetitive, incessant rambling. The story could either be the type that just describes the act (of sex), or the variety that provides a backstory (brief / elaborate) on the involved characters.

 

I'd choose a shorter story, provided the characters are introduced / described briefly so the reader has the slightest idea of who's who.

 

Personally I just write until I stop. I got one story that's just over the 5000 character requirement, but the next one I wrote ended up being about 20,000. As for reading well I like them good, don't care if they are short or long.
