Small Planes!

As a pilot and an aircraft mechanic, I love flying! There's nothing better - only all you guys are talking about flying big jetliners. You haven't flown til you're being tossed around in a gale force wind in a tiny Cessna!

If my eyes were better, I'd take lessons. I once took a ride in a gliding airplane, circling in a thermal updraft. While it was a fascinating experience to feel the power of the air rising in the sun, the tight circles we flew were too much for my stomach (it was amazing to see how quickly the pilot could return to the airfield after I mentioned my being unwell .

I'd travel in a plane missing a wing before I'd get on a boat. Flying rocks.

 

Take off on a plane is my favorite part also. Not a member of the mile high club yet, want to take a flight Lioness? We can enjoy take off, then taking it off!:rose:

Take-off and landing are by far the best parts, but everything else tends to suck. Occasionally you'll get a nice view below, but not that often because people yell at you for having your window open. Stupid inflight movies.

 

I love flying, its the best job in the world. If anyone wants any questions answered feel free to ask. My favourite part is breaking out of the clouds into the bright blue sky above. That and watching opposite direction traffic pass 1000' above.

I never ever close my window blind when traveling as a passenger, you never know what view you'll miss.

Yeah, the most fun I've ever had flying is in light singles, in the States you can get away with loads of stuff you can't in Europe too. The fact that almost everywhere has no landing fee in the US is great, just take her out and go do a dozen touch and goes at a dozen different airports in a single flight!

 

I've never been able to afford a plane, but I love flying. Takeoff and landing sometimes make me nervous, but I love looking down on the landscape below. One time I flew on Labor day night and watched fireworks from above.

 

I'm not afraid of flying, I'm afraid of crashing!

 

Another great flight memory was descending through an overcast directly above Central Park. my first flight into NYC.

 

OK I am gonna have to play one upper on this one. You haven't felt a rush in flying until A) You are hanging out of the door of an airplane at 1000 ft. flying nap of the earth approaching the drop zone, God you have NO idea how awesome that is. B) (I hope none of you ever experience this one) Your sitting door seat on a blackhawk when you start receiving small arms fire from the ground. You wanna talk about an adrenaline rush there you go. Plus when that gun starts a rocking it could give a 90 year old man a hard on without viagra.

 

From a distance, while watching you all jump out of the plane, you look like little sperm being ejaculated... until the parachutes get tangled up.
