I have to say that while you are quite prolific in your writing, it is also poor writing. Your stories are very poorly written. Half of your sentences in a number of stories start with "I". Many of your stories have a large number of one line paragraphs. You overuse the word "grin" and other words again and again.

In your attempt to be the #1 story publisher here, you produce trash. Producing the most trash isn't something to be proud of. Quality is far more important than quantity.

 

He doesn't join in on forum discussions. If you click on his stories you can see how many forum posts he's done (5 total). I believe all of which were before he left in 2011. He's since come back and is no longer on the emeritus list.
I'm pretty sure I nominated him because I like a lot of his stories and it may not be the best written ones but I found them very original and worthy of being read by others. That as far as I was aware the only requirement for getting on the list.
My favorite by him is "Power of the Mind" which he hasn't reposted since his return I hope he does its very engaging. Though you may not like it.
As I said before though he doesn't post on here. I kinda doubt he reads the forums if you want to criticize him you'll probably have to PM him.

I do read the forums. I tend to ignore people who criticize and don't write or who are poorly informed. Criticize after you have walked in my shoes. I write stories for myself and share with those that want to read them. If you don't like what I write I'm sure there are a lot of others for you to choose from. This is one of the reasons I don't allow coments on my stories.

Not that it matters since, as I've told some of my critics, I write for my pleasure. I don't aspire to become a published writer and I don't profess to be great. I just enjoy writing my stories when I find myself needing something to do at night. Many of the authors mentioned write some really good stuff. I too miss FBailey's stories. He had some good ones but haven't seen any new ones lately. This is a good thread. Sorry I just found it.

 

One thing to keep in mind in the forum is the difference between being criticized and someone giving an honest critique.

Some authors here routinely ask for critiques and opinions of their stories, so it is a caution everyone should use is to remember the difference.

Ka Hmnd,I find to be a gifted writer and also believe that he deserves to be on Best Authors list.
I too like his non-erotic as they seem to have more indepth details and thinking behind them. The only problem is that at times he has 2 or 3 different ones going and then leaves them for a while to throw a few short erotic at us.

As for his style, well many people do not like Stephen King's style; I being one of them. Using 'I'? Hmm now if it is a first person story and he is describing himself what should he use, Me? Check the English Thesaurus there is no alternative for 'I', so it's I or nothing.
As for over using certain words that is your problem as the reader. Maybe he prefers what a certain word conveys, as for grin it connotes a specific facial expression that beam, smirk or smile does not.

Now if "Power of The Mind" is ready for posting I am ready for reading.

Ka Hmnd, you now have a few comments based upon your writing prowess. I would only add stop reading the forums and get churning out those stories. I hate having to wait with worms in my mouth.

LT is amazing one of those I can't recommend enough. Mafia bitch may not be the best writing it does have grammar and spelling errors aplenty but that doesn't bother me in sex stories as much as it bothers others. I look for fun and originality and she gives it.

I don't want to come off sounding all jealous (I am, but won't admit it if pushed) but how does one actually get on the list of recommended writers?

I have written only one story so far, it's unfinished at the moment, quite long, and before my two year hiatus from xnxx it was receiving some good, positive responses. I will get around to finishing it but at the moment I'm sharing a computer with someone who wouldn't appreciate me spending several hours per week writing porn.

Please, whom ever recommends writers, take a look and PM me with your thoughts. Basically I want to know if I'm good enough!

P.S. I have actually been pubished twice in different magazines in the last decade both of which were written under a different name and was paid a pittance for both - straight fiction, no sex or anything remotely interesting to anyone here!!

 

Here is the way to become an Recommended Writer:

Post your first story in the forum story site.
Keep posting great stories in the forum.
If they are of high enough quality then someone will recommend you on this thread.

Fairly simple.

Be consistent in the quality of your work and craft good or great tales, poems or the like. You can recommend authors as well, just look over the thread to see the quality of authors who are recommended and you will have an idea in short order who cuts the mustard and why.

Above all, never give up writing, each story is a gem in its own way even if it falls into a small niche of its own (my own stories are specialties in insanity).

One other means you may consider doing - join in the Calling All Writers competition if you find the time to do so, if nothing else than for the gained name recognition.
