hey guys im moving to the west coast in august and have not been there in ten years. i have lived here in tampa for about 6 years now, but its time for a change. i might stay with my dad in oregon for a while but eventually to los angeles. do any of you know of any places to stay away from in any of those places?

 

I like living on the west coast, quite the adventure!, Toronto is my former home.
I have lived in Yukon for over 4 years now, and there are still so many places to explore

 

I grew up in the SF Bay Area and state capital, but it's been awhile since I've lived there and don't know my way around Southern CA.

 

i was in san diego for 2 yrs. when i was in the navy it was great

 

I got to go to my bf's graduation from Navy bootcamp in San Diego and I still can't listen to Anchors Aweigh.

 

I've always thought Los Angeles itself was a good place to stay away from.

 

Yeah, it's pretty exhausting when the fleet's in, isn't it?

SF and SD are nice. San Jose, Sacramento, and Santa Barbara are also worth checking out. Personally, I'm really into the Pacific Northwest and Vancouver is a real gem. Seriously, Vancouver is one of the most livable cities in the world. (http://www.mercer.com/qualityoflivingpr)

i am gone all day at work and see that people were posting in my thread, brings a tear to my eye. but i think i would want to work in LA but not live in LA, i write and want to give myself a chance in writing screenplays, i know its a stretch but i am going to try. there are so many places to visit over there as well, but i think im going to try out oregon for a few months and go from there

 

Oregon is beautiful, especially the coast. There's the Rogue River and Crater Lake to see, too.

LA is over overplayed. There are all these hardcore LA lovers out there which I think is just retarded. California is not the best place on earth.
