Be Bi and be Christian. You see, religion is for sinners, not those "perfect" people who go around pointing their f*ck´n finger at everyone. Religion directs you to Chirst, who in turns take you to heaven by way of his passion on the cross. When Christ delivered the Good News he used the word ´everyone´, and everyone is a sinner, and that is as simple as that.
Christ cleanses everyone for every sin every time. Remember, Jesus Christ even forgave the Centurions who nailed Him to the cross. Live your life, worship God and cherish your country, and when it´s over I´ll see you in heaven.

Out of sheer morbid curiosity....where did Jesus say it was necessary to cherish one's country in order to go to heaven? And if Jesus forgave his executioners, who were pagans, why wouldn't he also forgive those who don't follow him and don't worship God?

 

Ah well, the bible also forbids the lending of money and production of string and cloth over a certain length, but nobody cares about that, do they?

So yeah, the whole "be cool and groovy, don't judge and be nice" thing is probably a better message to take from the bible. If you're bi, be bi, don't let any small-minded assholes using their religion as a feeble excuse to persecute others make you feel bad about it, cos there's nothing wrong with it.

I think if you are posting a question like this on XNXX, you are looking for the answer you want. If you posted on a Christian website, you could expect different opinions. And, opinions are what you are going to get.
The truth is, you already know the answer for you. You would never have asked the question if you didn't already know. Nobody can judge anybody. That's the Holy Spirit's job. You have to do what is right for you. I didn't say do what you want, or what feels best, but do what is right for you. Your heart already has the answer you need. If you're a Christian, then you have forgiveness for all your sins, even ones you are still going to commit, and you are going to heaven. The problem lies with your true happiness. You will never know true happiness and freedom, unless you follow your heart.

Yup, but I really don't think that a lot of people on this forum are true atheists, just children "rebelling" against what most likely was forced on them at a young age. They have no clue just how privileged they are, yet they try to make themselves out to be disadvantaged people because they live in their little bubble where the real world doesn't ever enter into. If you ask me though, if you actually have the comfort in life to argue against religion and Christians and make yourself out to be a "persecuted individual" because you choose to be a complete douche and people don't like it, you're pretty damn privileged. It's aight though, they can have the forum, I prefer the real world, where "problems" like theirs don't matter, and people who don't live in a delusional little bubble don't go around preaching or spouting bigotry and bullshit constantly.

There are some who I would consider true atheists though, judging by what they post; chunky and trumpet to name a couple. Sadly, many more of the former mentioned populate this forum, as it draws in douchebags and tools like moths to a flame.

 

I don't mind if people are atheists...that's their decision but when they go around insulting my religion or any other religion I get angry.

I especially hate when they call people who believe in God stupid.

 

I agree, and it used to make me angry too. Now that I've realized where it's coming from and what type of people have to go around doing that shit, it just amuses me anymore.

None of them are intelligent or anything else they try to make themselves out to be. They're average, insignificant people, and maybe even less. I highly doubt that any of them have had any real problems in their lives, because if they had, it would've forced them to grow up and deal with the situation, instead of continuing to be immature as hell. They're just a bunch of overgrown children who won't amount to shit, except in their eyes because they don't know what's really important in life.

I might feel sorry for them if they didn't bring it on themselves so much, or didn't earn the life they will live or are living currently.

That's not entirely accurate. Jesus said a couple of times that his teachings and his healing powers were only for the Jews. He was quite the bigot. For instance, in one passage (if you want to verify yourself, let me know, I'll have to go dig it out of a religious podcast I was listening to the other day) a Canaanite woman comes to him, begging and pleading to save her daughter and Jesus rebuffs her. She comes back again, begging, and this is when he tells her she's a gentile and he is not here for the gentiles, but the jews. She goes crying to the apostles, pleading with them to convince him and they council her to go before him crawling on her hands and knees, which she does a third time. Jesus tells her that because she has properly humbled herself before a Jew, he will help her.

That little bit sort of puts a dent in the whole idea of Christianity if Jesus says upfront his teachings were only for Jews, not the gentiles. Which is everyone that is non-jewish. Fucking bible, always making Christians look like douche bags.

It really depends on the person and if I want to disrespect them or not. Most religions are abhorrent in their teachings and all one needs do to expose them is to show their core beliefs. To watch a namby-pamby milk toast Christian try to rationalize away the gross immoralities and atrocities in the bible for me is like being a kid in a circus. I get a big kick out of it.

We're open-minded to reasoned arguments that have at least some modicum of evidence. We are not open to religious dogma and lunacy.

Well, in all honesty, your religion has a great deal to atone for. Some light mocking should be the least of your worries. For instance, just today I heard about a woman in Ireland who abused her several children for years, keeping them half-starved, living in a house that was covered in filth, overrun with vermin and no heat in the winter. Well no, that's not entirely true. She allowed them to turn on the oven once a month in the winter months to heat the house. Her oldest son, who was pre-teen, she raped repeatedly. She would abandon them for hours at a time while she went out to get drunk.

Family Services in Ireland knew there was something going on and tried to step in and get the kids but they were blocked in court by, of all things, a Catholic group that paid for all her legal expenses. This Catholic group was, at the time this story broke, unnamed as no one wanted to admit to it. The woman was finally arrested and imprisoned, but she got a paltry 7 years for her crimes.

According to this woman's beliefs, apparently supported by whatever group was helping her, is that she has the right to raise her children in any way she wishes and she's got scriptural passages to back her up.

So, what about this should I respect, exactly?

Some of them are stupid. Like monkey, for instance. The rest are just irrational.
