Apparently you don't understand the two parties. Neither one is extreme. They are not black and white. Oh, there are extreme members of each, but each represents a large range of voters, from the extreme to the just-barely. There's a large number of voters who are registered to one party, but vote for whomever they feel the best candidate is, regardless of party affiliation.

Well I never said any such thing which means this is something you're making up in your own head prtndr.

What I said is I think this nation would be better off if people were not allowed to spread misinformation and what amounts to lies on the public airways.

What I object to is people on public airways and mass media knowingly and deliberately spreading false information and misconceptions. I used the example of people saying that what Barack Obama is proposing for health care reform is socialism.

If you can't then the people claiming that Barack Obama is proposing socalism are not reaching a different conclusion. They are ignorant at best and lying at worst and guilty of spreading misinformation designed solely to create a false impression.

That's what I compare a lot of what goes on in our mass media on both sides. And my objection is that it makes large segements of the public ignorant of the true facts and creates potential danger as we have seen over the past few months. When there should be come responsibility to now knowingly lie or misinform people.

No its not opinion. Its a knowingly and deleberately false charge which is not protected free speech. Its also what you're doing here. Making false accusations about what I've said and essentially lying about me and my position. That's not protected free speech under the first amendment libel and slander are already against the law and have been for nearly two centuries.

I wish that our congressmen and women would actually think before passing legislation in the house and senate just to force through bad bills. We have been supporting half od the ones who are responsible for our current situation.
( Banks, mortgage companies and auto makers.) Their greed brought about all of this. We have now mortgaged our schidlrens and their childrens future. We are completely screwed if China ever calls in the money we owe them or they start selling thier investment in the dollar.

It will eb a shame to see the late great USA go down in flames with the recent passage of House Resolution 2454, which will tax every company in the US for their expelling of any type of gas into the atmosphere. But we are now in a quandry with a democratic congress and democratic President. They can force through any type of bills they wish since they have the votes in the house and senate.
