I am ready to give up on football, I watched two great rugby matches today, no dramas surrounding the ref even though players were sin binned on marginal calls, no arguing over decisions made, no dives or falling over at the touch of a finger, just four teams giving it their all tackling hard, and getting up and doing it again and as is usual a little claret was left on the pitch.

Footballers over paid mostly and overrated.

Rugby players under paid and underrated.

I am really just catching the results for my beloved Blues because I am tired of modern football

I can sympathize with your point. The problem I have with RU is they keep tinkering with the rules and the logic of some of the refereeing decisions is beyond me.

Like watching RL though apart from the farcical scrums.

3-3 and 2 points dropped, we should have played a little harder but West Ham played the long ball game, and I dislike any team that wears claret and blue.

Yep, and I hate the play offs, we lose more than we win, usually on penalties. Oh well it will be a record season of games for us, 56 so far and 4 more league games then maybe 3 in the play offs, poor players will be worn out.

 

No play-offs and you would probably finish fourth. End of season!

Chelsea V Barcelona. I think the semi finals this time will be A LOT different to the last time these met there but with the same outcome.

 

Yeah I know, but do you remember when the top three got automatic promotion, now we have a mini tournament at the end of a long season, I understand that it is to keep the middle of the table competitive but it can be heart breaking to get so close and lose it all on one or two games.

I have no doubt that we will be in the mix, but I hate the tension and heart stopping matches, and it is even worse to lose when you came so close.

Oh well we will just have to see, I think Chris Houghton should get manager of the year for what he did with the squad he was given, the entire spine of our team was sold or sent out on loan and he worked with a small squad to present us with a great team that works hard and wins matches, a damn fine job he has done, and fuck that ginger headed fucking traitorous bastard who went to B6.

 

Biggest buzz I ever got from a football game was the 1999 Div 2 play-off final City vs Gillingham. I suppose the fact that we had dropped that low was a contribution but it was a cracking game to watch live.
