  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

    Best regards,

    StanleyOG.

Now I'm an avid reader I get through about four or five books a month and I alway felt its a great talking point for girl and the like. If I had the money I would most definitely be able to spend a full day sitting in a cafe reading a book and drinking coffee and I would love it if I could find a bookshop/cafe near me but anyway back to the point. I have two questions for you, by the way this isn't just for girls its for everyone but more interested in girls.

The First question, What is your favorite genre?

The second question is, What is your favorite book of all time,

The answer for the first is fantasy and the answer for the second for me has to be lord of the rings, such a classic.

My favorite genre is Science Fiction, and I can't pick a favorite book. Both Heinlein and Asimov wrote whole series that could possibly qualify. If I must pick a favorite single book it is not SF per se, but a Science Fantasy Collection, Bradbury's Martian Chronicles.

    Please TG;

There actually are people who can't distinguish between there and their. There are also people like me, who know the difference, but can still type the wrong word.

I like fiction and erotica, and it's fortunate that I can often satisfy my need for both within the covers of a single book. :)

Within the fiction category, I like historical novels and period pieces (novels set in a historical context). I like a certain amount of romance, but I can't stand "romance novels". And if we're going to have sex, for heaven's sake let's have REAL sex, and not the bodice-ripping, breast-heaving "throbbing manhood" variety you find in books like that.

I generally say that my favorite novel is To Kill a Mockingbird, maybe because it was my first encounter with a book that really moved me. But nowadays I find it very difficult to narrow the list down to one. For example, I really like the novels of Larry McMurtry, because he has a tendency to create strong and interesting female characters. I'm also a big fan of Barbara Kingsolver.

I mentioned above that my favorite category is SF, but my favorite book,Ray Bradbury's The Martian Chronicles,is more of a fantasy, though with SF elements. My wife introduced me to the fiction of Andrew Greeley, usually considered to be erotic women's fiction, and he became another favorite, though I sometimes got annoyed with his too pat endings.

Shunned by society, you'll give up on human companionship altogether, finding animals less judgmental and therefore more companionable than people, and finally leading you to take the only job with which you'll feel comfortable: as the gamekeeper for a school of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

You have my sympathy, my friend.

Hard sci-fi. None of this laser-rifle crap, hard sci-fi. Stuff like Asimov, Lem, PKDick, Gibson, Stephenson. The sort of stuff that's more interested in the social fabric of future societies in a disfunctional utopia than in loonies in robes fighting clones.

Oh, and period stuff, but dear God, most of it is so fucking clichéd as to be completely ridiculous.

Favourite book? Impossible. Absolutely impossible. But J. G. Ballard's The Drowned World was definitely an unexpected pleasure. Really wonderful, and very thought-provoking.

    Agree on Philip K. Dick.

I've read a lot of Ballard, and my favourite is "The unlimited dream company."

I'd add Kurt Vonnegut, especially "Slaughterhouse 5" and "Player Piano."

    Science fiction and historical novels.

I love the Sharpe books, although they are basically a fairly historically accurate boys own adventure series.

I love Ender's Game and the questions it asks about humanity's place in the universe and what it takes to keep it.

I've also been very impressed by Kim Stanley Robinson. Couldn't get into the Orange County books, but other than that I've liked all of his that I've read.
