I have a couple questions for you internet political geniuses...

1. How is is that you know so much yet never landed a job running the country? I mean, to hear you guys talk, you would have ALL our financial, foreign policy, and social problems wrapped up in what....11 days?

2. How is it that YOU know so much more then the rest of the worlds population? I mean really, how do you get this vast knowledge from reading the same news, polls, opinion pieces, and governmental reports that the rest of us do?

3. At what point do you realize that typing the same crap on an internet forum board is doing nothing but stroking off the people that agree with you and piss off the ones that disagree? Just like you get pissed off and puke nonsensical garbage when someone posts about something you disagree with?

4. Do you really think there will ever be or has ever been a time in human history that one group of people have/will not be doing all they can to control other humans? Do you think that just because someone happens to spout the jargon you find appealing, that they are looking out for or have your best interests in mind?

5. Finally, does getting on boards and sounding pompous and sanctimonious get you off? We are on a porn board so I would think you are constantly posting about political subject matter with your right hand because your left hand is firmly grasping that pathetic little thing that the one women you have ever been naked in front of laughed at when you pull it out for your one shot at a sexual encounter.


Jesus H. Christ, get over yourselves. I can imagine that the most frequent posters on political issues are depressed little men, sitting in their parents basement, complaining about the ills of the political system while trying to keep the noise down as not to wake mommy. Or, they are the dorky little know it all we used to beat the shit out of in high school. The little shits that thought their supposed superior intellect entitled them to spout off without consequence and always seem so shocked when someone walked over and fed them a fist sandwich for being an asshole.

Yes, this was a rant. For those who are laughing, awesome. For those who feel the need to get on here and defend yourself, I never called out one person or political ideology. If you are offended, then maybe it is you that needs to look at yourself and truly figure out why it is you feel the need to be an ass....

The birth of the internet as a common commodity has opened an avenue of media that perhaps wasn't foreseen when pc to pc chatter was just a glint in the eye of the inventors.

And with the opening of this media avenue comes a flood of opinions on foreign and internal government decisions. The common man, he who sits behind his monitor, now has a place for his views and opinions to be heard globally. People are no longer floundering in the dark, being fed the sanitised version of what our governments want us to see or hear. This can only be seen as a good thing, because it means that our governments cannot hide what they do overseas because the soldier fighting the war, the man working for an international agency, or the street sweeper, can all log on and tell the truth as it really is!

Don't imagine for a minute that sites like these aren't monitored by government agencies. Those agencies will include law agencies and those who directly influence decisions at high levels of power. Some things they will ignore, but some they will take on board, they will use this media as a sounding board, to see how well their decisions are being met by the people who voted them into power, and the people whom they represent.

If they choose not to use this media in their decision making, then they are seriously erring in judgment as to the power of open forums.

Intellectual stimulation is enjoyable when it's intellectual. Once it goes beyond the realm of logic and civility, it just becomes a mess.Either way, the intention is simply to debate your point.The people out to simply make people angry are called trolls.

No, people look out for themselves in general. Sometimes, that is what makes things difficult. Sometimes people don't know what's good for themselves, and other times people don't like to share, so they'll cut off their nose to spite their face, so to speak.
No, the problem with "jargon" is that it is usually simply a bunch of talking points. What I look for is for people that can go beyond the talking points and rationalize their positions. Also, just because I agree with some of or even all of a person's positions, that does not mean that they've got my best interests in mind.

I kind of get the impression that somebody disagreed with you and you were unable to make a reply, and ended up getting laughed off. I'm sorry you felt intellectually deficient.

I can't think of even a single person ever claiming they know more than the rest of the world's population. So this question wouldn't be what you would call honest is it?

Actually and factually I get a lot of my knowledge right off this forum. I would honestly say that the free-wheeling discussions we have here, with all the different perspectives as well as the use of sources and counter sources in the one thing that actually gives me the advantage over the same news, polls, opinion pieces and government reports that everyone else has.

Well you know I just don't believe that is true. It depends on the people involved and in fairness maybe it can depend on any given individual on any given day. But for the vast majority of the time the exchanges are more constructive than nonsense.

Yes because there are many examples of humans living in harmony and having a culture of sharing especially if the people have tended to be extremely isolated for any great length of time.

I think this is a very unfortunate choice of words. Let me give you two examples why. Which one would you say is demonstrating signs of an over grown ego: People who enjoy discussing politics and social issues? Or the lone individual that comes on just such a forum and tells a lot of the people who have been there for years that they are doing it wrong.

See I think its an individual that thinks they are grand enough to tell other people what they should and shouldn't do would be the one who needs to get over himself.

I'm incredibly intelligent when it comes to matters of science, yet I am not a world famous scientist. I didn't graduate highschool, and never really got an education.

Just because somebody knows something, doesn't launch them immediately to the height of their careers. There are many barriers one must break through to get where they want.

The political fans on this thread probably don't want to spend their lives being politicians. That right there is a simple enough reason. Politics is a messy thing. It's easy to discuss something, it's a thousand times for difficult to do something.

As stated before, I know alot about scientific things. Kay, that's one thing I have going for me.

Here are some things I have to get through to reach my ultimate goal of being an entomologist. Let's start with my internal barriers.

I have aspergers syndrome. I'm terrified of social interaction, and I'm slowly going bonkers from lack of interaction. I'm clinically depressed, and I lack confidence.

External factors include an education system pushes kids through just to make room for the next generation of kids, disinterested teachers, and administrators that can't be bothered to help even one kid that has real potential.
I'm too old to join most organizations that help autistic people (I finally found one but they meet once a month).

I don't feel like going into more detail because I've just reminded myself how futile my actions are when it comes to trying to do something for myself when I live in a world that doesn't think I'm disabled because I look normal or think I'm retarded when I try to tell them what kind of disability I have.
Is it any wonder I've created an artificial life for me to live on this forum?

No, not at all. I like reading posts and threads that honestly discuss issues. In this thread I was attempting to use a touch of shock to show some peoples true colors. I do not believe I know anymore then the average American that reads and cares about political issues but I also do not go around pontificating about how my views are superior to all others and if you disagree with me you are some idiot or moron. I do not subject people to a verbal dressing down for difference in views.

I may have gone a bit overboard in baiting some into reacting but I got exactly what I thought I would. Some took it lightly and joked about it. These people I enjoy immensely. Some were offended by what and how I said what I said, but did not take it personally. To those, I apologize for the rudeness. The others proved to me that my impressions of them are closer to true then false. I just wanted people to see that acting like this on a forum does nothing positive.
